Thinking of You by Mabushii Keikoku

Chapter one: Transferred

As Kagome held the receiver close to her ear a girl with a soft tone of voice answered the phone.

"Moshi moshi, this is Sango."

"Ano...I need to tell you something." Kagome said in a cheerful but at the same time sad voice.

Sango looked at her watch, which read 11:00pm. "Is there something wrong Kagome?" Sango asked concerned.

Kagome scratched her head not knowing how to tell her friend the news. "I'm moving tomorrow and switching schools. I was actually wondering if you could help me get all my stuff?"

Surprised by the sudden news Sango returned back to reality and said, "Sure...I'll help you out. By the way, which school are you transferring to?"

Kagome shifted in her chair and cleared her throat. "I am going to Kururugi High."

"Isn't that the best private school in the country? Only the best of the best go there. I don't mean to pry, but how did you get in? I mean it's almost impossible to get into that school." Sango gulped a big mouth full of air trying to regain her breath.

"Let's see...where do I start first?" After a long pause Kagome said, "I got a call from my sensei about 2 weeks ago. She told me that I was going to be transferred. I was really shocked when I went home and my parents were packing all my stuff. Apparently, they have rooms over there. So...I guess that's it."

A little disturbed by the fact that her friend didn't say anything, her voice came out in a soft whisper.

"Sango...at least say something."

Shaking out of her daze Sango said, "I-I'm just so shocked. My best friend is going to a private school and leaving me with all these...these...what's the word I'm looking for...that's right, crazy idiotic people. Not to mention all the youkai at our school."

'I knew she'd act this way when I told her.' Kagome thought while shaking her head.

Kagome sighed and said, "It's not that bad Sango. You're just over exaggerating."

"So, when are you leaving tomorrow?"

"Ano...about...maybe, one o' clock tomorrow afternoon. Don't worry about class, I'll make the sensei write up a pass for you. So meet me tomorrow at my locker, okay?" Kagome said now spinning in the chair.

"Fine." Sango said in a bored like tone.

"Okay, see you tomorrow beautiful. Bye."

"Alright, bye Kags."

As Kagome hung the phone up she went onto her school's website to look around. After all, she was going to be there for 3 years.

As she clicked on various subjects, she came across the list of classes.

"Wow. I've never seen so many classes before in my life. Some of these classes I haven't even heard of. I-It's ridiculous." Kagome said a loud in amazement.

Looking at the computer screen her eyes darted to the bottom right part of the screen, which now read midnight. Kagome spoke her mind freely and said, "I should get to bed now. I might not be able to wake up for school tomorrow." Kagome tapped the computer, which shut off on contact.

Kagome walked to her bed and lied down. As Kagome stared at the light switch her eyes became a vibrant sea foam blue-green which in turn the same glowing light surrounded the light switch pushing it down. When the light switch was off Kagome slept thinking about what her new school would be like.

The next morning Kagome woke up a little to early. She silently slipped out of bed and walked to her closet.

As she slid her fingers on the hanging clothes, she decided to wear a white long-sleeved shirt and jeans that had swirls on the bottom.

She quickly but quietly headed down the three flight of stairs. She didn't mind the long way down.

When she came off the last step she heard someone in the kitchen.

"Okaasan...is that you?" Kagome asked while turning around the corner.

As soon as she walked in, she was suddenly knocked to the white tiled floor.

A little bit of the breath knocked out of her she said, "Aki, what are you doing in the kitchen?" Kagome asked the Siberian husky puppy that was now wagging his tail happily.

In a cheerful voice he said, "~I just wanted something to eat Gome, and besides, you know I can get it myself.~" At that moment the puppy's blue sapphire eyes turned emerald green. His food was silently levitated down to him and he triumphantly wagged his tail and began to eat.

Kagome rolled her eyes and patted him on the head making his ears twitch. "You're such a show off Aki."

Kagome sat at the kitchen table and her eyes suddenly changed from stormy blue to sea foam blue-green. In an instant the milk, cereal, a bowl, and an empty glass floated to her. As the bowl set its self in front of her, the cereal poured into the bowl along with the milk. A drawer could be seen opening revealing a spoon coming out and being placed into the bowl, while orange juice was being poured into the empty glass. Happy for not even lifting a finger Kagome dug into her breakfast.

When she finished eating, she wrote a note on a piece of paper explaining to her parents that she already left. She closed her eyes and then opened them again and the note was gone.

Kagome smiled and spoke a little to loudly. "Hai, yatta! I mastered teleporting!" Kagome rushed to Aki and scratched his head making his tail wag faster.

Kagome pointed towards the dishes and they began to wash themselves.

As she headed towards the front door she turned around towards Aki and said, "Aki, don't forget to put your stuff away." Kagome said in a merry tone.

"~Don't worry, I will. Bye Gome." Aki said while sitting.

Kagome touched the small crescent moon pendant on her neck that made her disappear along with all her belonging.

When she opened her eyes she was in the middle of a vast hallway. She whispered something and a map appeared in front of her.

As Kagome looked at the map, she pointed to her name. She apparently was in the west wing of the school. She looked at other places on the map and saw other people walking or standing still in one place. Kagome marveled at how the footsteps of the person would blink like as a beacon would blink on a radar.

"Let's see...I should go down this hallway and take a left and then a right and I should be there." Kagome pointed her index finger to the map and it vanished.

As Kagome tried to teleport she realized she couldn't and began to walk down the long hallways. As she headed down the hallways she felt a lot of youkai's with overpowering aura's that made her feel nauseated.

In her slight daze she almost passed the principal's office. Before she even touched the doorknob she felt a strong aura on the other side of the door.

"What a menacing aura. It almost engulfs my own aura. Who could hold so much demise and hatred?"

When Kagome walked in she was faced with someone's back. As she drew closer to the man the door suddenly slammed shut. Kagome instinctively jumped at the sound.

"Miss Higurashi, I didn't expect you to arrive so early. I assume you know where your dorm room is, right?"

Kagome stared at the back of his wavy raven black hair and said, "Hai."

'What an innocent young woman. By her aura, she hasn't been tainted yet. She must be beautiful!'

When he turned around his assumptions became reality because her beauty was overwhelming.

Naraku's smirk became evident on his face as he said, "I have yet to introduce myself. My name is Naraku Tatsuya. I am principal at this school. It is a pleasure to meet you." Naraku bowed deeply.

When he stood up straight again his ruby red gaze met her stormy blue ones.

Kagome tried to avert his gaze but couldn't. 'What's happening to me? Why can't I look away? It must be a binding spell.'

Glad that she could still move her lips she whispered an incantation. "Unbind me now. Ka, sui, fu, ten, chi." Kagome was instantly released and she fell on her knees.

'Interesting. This could be fun.' Naraku smirked.

As Kagome stood back up she dusted her self off. She bowed respectfully and excused herself from the suffocating room.

Immediately after exiting the room she suddenly bumped into someone and fell on her butt. Her luggage also fell along with her making her feel more embarrassed then she already was.

When she regained her focus she was staring into deep icy-blue eyes.

Realizing what he had done he apologized. "Gomen nasai."

As he extended his hand Kagome cautiously accepted and was quickly brought back onto even ground.

"Arigato." Kagome blushed at his intense gaze as he eyed her up and down. She could have sworn she heard a growl come from his direction. She finally realized that he was still holding her hand. As she began to pull from his grasp his grip became firm and she heard a light growl pass his lips.

Before she could make another move he began to draw her further towards his body. As his lips drew closer to hers she suddenly disappeared along with her stuff.

He sighed and a broad grin crossed his face. "You haven't gotten away from me yet. I'll see you in our dorm room."

When she opened her eyes she was in the dorm room. As she began to look around the spacious dorm she took a small note out of her pocket.

"Ano...I share this dorm with three other people. I wonder if I'll know who my new roommates are before the end of the day?"

Kagome cautiously opened each of the five doors until she found and empty one. As she sat on her bed she pointed her finger at her belongings and they disappeared.

Kagome slowly walked back her room observing her new surroundings. As she walked into the kitchen she sat down at a round table and rested her chin in her hand.

"What should I do now? It's so boring doing nothing." Kagome sighed and got back up. Feeling a little sleepy she headed back to her room and took a nap.

By the time Kagome woke back up it was around noon.

Kagome yawned and stretched her stiff limbs. "I wonder how long I slept?" Kagome turned on her right side and looked at her nightstand. Her small clock read one o' clock." I should get up now."

As Kagome got off her bed her stomach growled very loudly and she lightly blushed and headed towards the kitchen.

While looking in the fridge her sights were set on a bottle of sprite. As she pulled the beverage out she noticed a pile of fruit in the corner of her eye and closed the fridge. She quickly grabbed a shiny apple and munched away happily at how fortunate she was to find food.

After eating the delicious meal, Kagome sat on the couch and began to watch T.V. After an hour or so she heard a bell ring and jumped at the sudden noise.

A few moments later she heard some keys rattling and dashed towards her room. As soon as closed her door the front door opened. She could hear the sound of laughter and light conversation of three men.

'They must be my roommates.' Kagome thought as she placed her ear on the door. She heard one of them say something.

"Hey guys, listen up!"

"What is it now Kouga?"

"Our new roommate is here, if you haven't noticed." Kouga said with a smile.

"What are you smiling about wolf?"

"Well if you must know Inuyasha, I already know who our new roommate is."

"By the way it smells in here, I have to say that it's a woman."

"You're right Miroku it is. I presume she is already in her new room"

Kagome could feel their aura's drawing closer to her. She lightly heard a knock on the door.

As she slowly opened the door, she was staring right into icy-blue eyes.

'I-It's him, the one who tried to kiss me earlier!' Kagome took a few steps back.
