Forsaken Chronicles: Whispers in the Moonlight by Lianon

Prologue

Prologue

" It was so long ago now...

" So many countless decades, thousands of years.

" The Priestess Kirogi came for my in my palace of darkness. She ripped my from my body, casting my soul into torment. She spoke the words of power, the words of destruction, and my palace vanished in a blazing white light, filled with sparks of blue purification. I had been the most feared, the Dark Power over the west, until she pulled my power from my grasp. So long did I cling to my immortal soul, but her powers overwhelmed me.

" I felt myself being enclosed in a square prison, and my final breath that touched this earth allowed one part of me to remain free. That piece, that fragment, of my being searched for so many thousands of years, until finally, when building touched the heavens, and men were able to fly, I found a host. She suited me; her dark soul was filled with hate and vengeance. She fueled me, and I controlled her body. It was a wonderfully parasitic relationship. Then I found the temple, the one in which I was kept, within a golden box, carved with countless kanji's to keep me within. And so I released myself, and now am fully within the child. If only she knew what she had released into this world, what evil she had assisted.

" Her hate still fuels me, even as her teenage body becomes emptied of its soul. Now she is mine, she is me."
