Don't you ever get the feeling that you're not supposed to be here?

That maybe the cool steel sliding off your wrist should be rewarded with warm blood?

I don't know.

I don't even know the meaning when the sky is crying for something I can't see.

How can I know myself?

How can I love?

Not bothering to shut down the computer, Mishou grabbed his tie and jacket as he finished typing. He'd come home later than he liked the day before and hadn't bothered to take off his school uniform.

Grimacing at how the trousers probably wouldn't ward off the cold outside after he'd slept in them in a warm room, he also stuffed a pair of fingerless gloves in his pockets.

The gloves were courtesy of Bankotsu, a friend found in slightly murkier waters than most were used to. A dealer in drugs and heaven knows what else, he was nonetheless a good man-

'Duh, who am I kidding? He's nice to me because he's taken me under his wing, but that's it.'

"Mishou-!! Breakfast's ready!!!!"

'She needn't yell. I bet the whole neighborhood can hear her.'

He loved his mothe..step mother turned mother, as much as he couldn't stand her. She was so *bright.* Just like the person who caused him to come home late last night.

'Kagome-san.'

The new teacher was a pretty young lady, fresh from university. She was already a hit at the Shikon High School for Boys. Sensitive despite the sunny personality she projected, Kagome sensei had picked up what nobody had before.

'Me.'

Not even those he considered family, rag-tag as it was, had ever caught on to him.

Why would that, that blasted woman that just wouldn't leave his mind now, see through him with those big, bright eyes?

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

'Damn.'

He had to grab his piece of toast and start walking to take the last bus that would allow him to walk the last mile to school.

He would have to save his thoughts for later.
