Late Blossum of Love: Sesshomaru's Epiphany by Neko~Emi-Chan

Sesshomaru's right taste in woman over Inuyasha~

"Come along with me, Inuyasha. It will be better for you than remaining here with that reincarnated ash." Kikyo tauntered, her arms over-thrown around Inuyasha's neck. Inuyasha just stood, staring down at his "lover". "I don't know. It dosen't feel right, Kikyo." He answered, his gaze sweeping away from her face to the side. After a few seconds of complete silence, Kikyo narrowed her eyes and removed her arms from him. "Fine. I can see you still care for that girl. When your ready for the real thing, come and see me." And Kikyo started walking away. "But.." Inuyasha mouthed, his hand out-stretched as if to catch Kikyo. Kikyo turned to look at him. "Good bye, Inuyasha. We will meet again very soon." And with that, Kikyo disappeared in the forest's deep tree's.

"Bye, Kaede! I'll be back tomorrow!" Kagome shouted with a wave and walked out the hut. "I wonder where Inuyasha wondered off to? He's been doing alot of it lately..." She blinked. What if he dosen't like spending time with me anymore? She asked herself. Now that he's a full demon and all...he dosen't need some stingy girl hanging on his leg constantly. Kagome frowned, tightening her grip on her book-bag and another grip on the knob of her bike as she strode down the dirt path.

"Kagome!" A voice called out and Kagome immediantly stopped, then turned around to see Inuyasha leaping from a tree at the side of the dirt path and walking up to her. "Where you goin'?" He asked calmly, trying to act cool about the 'situation'. "Inuyasha..." Kagome blinked, then snapped back into reality. "Just home." She replied with a cute smile. Inuyasha, being a softie inside with the mixed emotion's, smiled back helplessly. When she meant 'home', she meant 'here'. In the fuedal era--where she had choosen to stay for her friend's sake. Nearby Kaede's hut was a simuliar built hut--Kagome's. Inuyasha never has to worry about Kagome leaving 'forever' again.

"So..where exactly were you this whole time? It had to be atleast three hour's." Kagome stated as the two strolled down the pathway together. She tried to act sarcastic, but deep inside was very curious. Inuyasha held a blank expression of complete confusion. "I uh, was just out there...ya know, tryin' to learn to control my new power and all." he answered with a slight fidget. "Oh." Kagome frowned, then the two stopped as she kicked out her bike stand and left her bike by the door. "Do you want to come in?" She asked. Inuyasha blinked. He wasn't at all used to be asked to come in on comparison like that. "Uh, sure." He replied. "I'm going to warn you, though." Kagome said, pointing a finger at Inuyasha. "If you at all make fun of the way it looks inside, I'll shut you out of my life forever!" She yelled. Inuyasha snickered, Kagome didn't have the power to tell him to 'sit' anymore...how lovely. "Tch, as if you could. Don't fill my mind with false threatenings." He said. Kagome huffed.

Aaand..she was right. The outside might have looked normal, but the inside looked exactly like Kagome's room. Like fantasy mixing with reality, there were poster's on the straw wall's, a bed, and a desk, and many other thing's! "Wow, you really out did yourself, Kagome."Inuyasha's eyes were widened with disbelief. Kagome giggled, adding a blush to her cheeks. She wanted to hug him right now for the compliment, but it wouldn't seem right. "Oh yeah!" She shouted and ran over to her desk, scrummuging, then pulled out a folder. "What's that?" Inuyasha asked, ear's pointed up in curiousity. "A scrapbook. When I would travel with you guy's, I took pictures secrelty and kept them here."Kagome grinned proudly. "Wha?" Inuyasha asked. He didn't understand a word she just said! "Here, I'll show you. Come over to the bed."

They both sat on the edge and Kagome opened the folder, exposing many different pictures of the good times--and the bad ones. "They're like..memories." Inuyasha exclaimed as he looked down at them, one particulary being Kagome and how cute she looked in the sun dress she had on in the picture. "Exactly!" Kagome said.

"Hey.." Inuyasha said. "What?" Kagome blinked up at his face with a raised brow . Inuyasha's finger was pointed to a certain picture. "That's the day I beat my last demon and collected the last shard."Inuyasha was a beat surprised to see that picture out of all in the album. "Yeah." Kagome said with a slight smile. "And then became full demon." Inuyasha, just then, closed the book. He had a furious look on his face. "Why do you always bring this up, Kagome?!" He asked her sternly. "I just, I don't.." She began to say before he interrupted, standing up. "It dosen't matter! You would never understand." He yelled. Kagome clenched her bed sheets in slight fear. He could smell it, and felt guilty. With a deep sigh, Inuyasha calmed himself and sat next to her. "I didn't mean that. But you wouldn't understand." He told her. "I think I should atleast have the right to know, though Inuyasha. I was apart of the help you got into getting the shards in the first place." She said, glancing at him. "...I can't." He said. "Please.." She said, leaning her head closer to look into his eyes.

After a very long period of silence, Inuyasha swallowed his pride for once. "I did it. I became full demon." Inuyasha continued. "..To protect you." And right then, Inuyasha felt as if he could say anything! "From the beginning, you always looked out for me, Kagome. Whether you realized it or not, you were there in times I really needed someone. It meant a lot." Kagome was shocked beyond belief. He stared her right in the eyes. "I wanted to make up for it. I want to protect you for the rest of my life, Kagome. When you ever need someone, I'll be there. And whenever you-" He was interrupted just as badly as he had with her, she had threw her arms around his stomach and embraced him from the side. "Inuyasha.." She said, hugging his chest. Inuyasha seemed to blush evidently to her actions. "I'm so glad..I thought you had never wanted anything to do with me after the shard-collecting."Kagome cried softly into his fire red kimono happily. Inuyasha blinked, pondering on whether to embrace her back. "That's not it at all, Kagome. I enjoy bein' around ya." He said, putting an arm around her shoulder and hugging her closer to him. Kagome's eyes widened, she could hear his heart-beat. Her cheeks burned with a passion and it's color.

Meanwhile, outside Kagome's hut--two brown eyes watched with furry and jealousy. It was Kikyo. Her nail's nearly dug into the wooden window's. "How dare she...I will kill that imposter."

Inuyasha blinked and sniffed out Kikyo's scent. He could smell out her rage and jealousy. Immediantly, not really wanting to spoil the moment, stood up and starting walking out the hut casually as he walked in. "Where are you going?" Kagome asked. "I have to go train more. I'll...see ya later." And he left. Inuyasha did not want Kagome knowing Kikyo was around, nor wanting Kagome getting hurt. Kagome was left in the background. She sighed, then layed back on her bed. She had so much to tell him, it was just at the right time, too. Wonder what made him leave? She thought and rolled on her side, closed her eyes and dozed off in a little cat nap.((Heehee...))

"Inuyasha!!!" Kikyo yelled from a foot's away. By then, they were both far away from Kagome's house becuase Inuyasha ran from it. Inuyasha stopped and turned to look at her from the dirt-path. "Why do you treat me for a fool!?" Kikyo asked, utterly irate. Inuyasha played dumb. "What the hell are you talkin' about, Kikyo?" He asked, also a bit angry at the fact that she made him leave nearly the best moment of his life. Kikyo stopped her bitter words with a sigh, she knew winning Inuyasha's heart over dosen't need another bitch-fest. "Nothing." She walked up to him and smiled. "Every moment you leave me, my heart ache's..I miss you." Her feet risened her body to meet Inuyasha's height where-upon she brought her lips to his. Damnit...he thought, and fought himself to push her away. But he couldn't. He didn't want Kagome involved. Anything for her...anything..Inuyasha had kissed the woman back, acting out passionately. The only thing that got him through was pretending it was Kagome.

"Hm.." A cold voice murmered, causing Inuyasha and Kikyo to delay their action's in startlement. It was Sesshomaru, along with little Rin who was around the age 7 now. She was holding his hand with a confused expression on her face. "Interesting, my brother, on how you manage to get away with this and at the same time, play with the Miko's head." He said. Inuyasha growled. "You don't know anything, Sesshomaru, so just get the hell away from me!" He shouted. Kikyo noted the word 'me' and felt left-out with a frown. "You're right, Inuyasha, let us leave him and go somewhere more peaceful." Kikyo shot Rin a sharp gaze, disliking the fact of staring. Rin slightly 'eeped!' and ran behind her father's legs, grabbing the pants with her trembling hands. Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes toward Kikyo. "I suggest you keep your disgusting gaze away from my child. I don't want her growing up with any image of you in her mind." Kikyo 'hmphed' and looked up at Inuyasha--who in return, showed no sign of anger. He was too busy in thought to comprehend. She blinked and decided to fight for herself. "You call yourself a father? I hope that is not how you really act around your..'child'." She said, acting snobbish. Sesshomaru growled between his teeth. "Another word from you and you'll wish you would have stayed dead you walking corpse." He replied. "Come along, Rin." Sesshomaru grabbed his daughter's hand and walked past them, along the dirt-path. Inuyasha caught sight and THEN fury built within. He seemed to be going in the direction of Kagome's house. "Hey!" Inuyasha shouted. "Don't even think about goin' to Kagome's, because of I find out...." And just before Inuyasha could finish, Sesshomaru replied calmly, while had stopped for that one second. "I do plan to, my brother. We are on good terms now and I would like Rin to get to know her so the Miko can help me out when need be. A dead woman just won't do." Sesshomaru finished and continued his walk. "Get the hell back here!!!" Inuyasha shouted and began to make a run for Sesshomaru, but Kikyo grabbed his arm. "Remain here with me, Inuyasha, less you care for that girl more than I?" Inuyasha grumbled silently and stopped. He is now..begining to hate Kikyo.
