Prologue

Kitsune0080: Hey everybody! It's Shippo's long lost sister!! Hope you like the fic, Shippo-chan sure did. Also this is a disclaimer! I don't own Inuyasha and Co. or the songs that I will us in the fic.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Kagome's POV

As we walked though the forest towards Kaede's village. I have to go home and study for finals. Inuyasha has been acting differently towards me. For one thing he's been letting me go home when I need to, letting the group rest, and my favorite of all he hasn't yelled at anyone!

"Inuyasha, Will you let me go home after we get to the village. Finals are in 2 months and I need to start studying, so can I go?" I ask him,

"Whatever you dumb wench!" was his reply,

"Thanks" I answer dryly and went next to Sango talk about Inuaysha's strange behavior.

Later that same day we made it to Kaede's village where some of the villagers greeted us warmly. As we all walked into Kaede's hut Inuyasha told us that he was going out for a walk to think, he had been doing that a lot lately. It's starting to worry me. I know he is able to take care of himself but the Shikon no Tama is almost complete, it's dangerous to walk by yourself.

Author's POV

"Gome-chan, do you want to take a bath with me?" Sango asked standing up, Kagome broke from her thoughts and answered,

"Of course!" Gathering her bathing supplies Sango and Kagome made there was towards the hot springs.

When they got there both girls stripped down and began to soak in the water,

"Kagome what's wrong? I noticed that you and Inuyasha haven't been talking a lot," Sango asked,

"Well I'm not really sure what's going on but I have this feeling something going to happen." She replied,

"Care to explain?" Sango asked,

"Well, it feels like I'm going to lose him. Lately he's been taking late night strolls and I don't think he's taking them to think about how to beat Naraku. In fact, I think he's seeing Kikyo." "Why?"

"Because sometimes Shippo tells me that he smells like death, mud, dirt, and clay. Anyway I think he going to try and kill me" "Kagome!! Don't say that! Inuyasha would never do that, and if he did believe me he'd be dead!" "It's ok Sango. I'm going to talk to him once we get back." " I think you should. I think we should get out of the water! We're turning into prunes!" Sango giggled as they got out of the water, got dressed and headed back to the village.
