Kagome ran through the shrubs and bushes. The twigs picked at her pale skin. Gashes ran along her arms and legs, but she was too numb to notice. It wasn't the cold rain, or the nightly breeze that made her feel numb. No it wasn't... it was her broken heart.

Her heart felt like it had shattered right before her eyes. The forest which she traveled. Kagome fell to her knees while her hands supported her. Her face looked down as tears fell on the ground. Her hunched over position gave out.

There were sounds of someone moving in the bushes. Kagome scrambled and sat down scooting further and further back. A flash of red appeared from the bushes and for once Kagome sighed thinking it was Inuyasha, but it wasn't.

Whatever it was stepped out of the bushes. It was a demon with red skin. It had two large horns on its head while its 2 long, sharp fangs glistened under the moonlight. It smirked while its eyes bled black and while it's true demonic form searched to kill.

Kagome gasped and tried to get up, but her legs failed. The attempts were futual and she knew that death was near. There was nothing she could do. There was no one left for her. Inuyasha had Kikyo while Miroku had Sango. Even Shippo had Souten, while she left alone.

The demon stalked over to her its sharp claws hanging on the edge of its fingertips. More tears fell down her cheeks as she was as helpless as a new born baby. She saw the demons hand rise and just as fast swiped down at her.

'Inuyasha' was her last thought... and that's how she died...
