Silver Angel by Elexies

Chapter One

I see the white angel

Making his way to me.

I see the silver angel

Making his way to me.

Two of the same,

One full of half.

I see the two demons,

Making their way to me.

Kagome ran. That's all that was on her mind. Running and getting as far away from him as possible. Tears ran down her cheeks like a river, turned silver in the moonlight. Her black hair was ivory silk, held together by a ponytail. Her skin pale from fright of what she'd just seen, but her cheeks were a rosy color from the running.

She had witnessed Inu Yasha kissing Kikyou. How could he? How could he choose her over a living corpse? She'd understood all those times when he'd said she was just a shard detector, but there had also been those rare displays of emotions. She had thought he loved her. No. She was just a shard detector. She had to get away from him. She had to go home, far away from here, from everyone, but mostly him. He didn't need her now.

*How could he do this to me? * She thought wildly as she stumbled over a shallow riverbed.

She'd given him everything. She'd given him her love, her heart! That baka! He'd taken it and simply tossed it into a river of acid. She could still feel the liquid burning away at her. She let another sob escape her, stumbling a bit and almost falling to the ground. How could he? What gave him the right to have toyed with her like that? So many emotions were running through her. Hate, pain, love, betrayal, how could anyone handle this?

The bone eater's well was only a bit further ahead, and then she could leave. She would be able to forget about all of this. Sure it would take some time, but she would get over it. She could put all of this behind her. She stopped at the edge of the well, staring down into the black infinity. Tears poured down her cheeks, falling into the well. She bit at her lower lip, hard, resisting the temptation to scream. Shakily she pulled the small container that held the almost full Shikon Shard and set it down on the edge of the well. They only needed one more shard and Inu Yasha could have his wish. She bit down harder on her lower lip. He didn't need her to find the last shard. Tears began to flow faster. She bit even harder on her lip, the pain she felt physically and mentally was too much. Harder and harder, her grip was drawing blood. Finally she had to surrender to this emotion, this pain. She threw her head back.

"INU YASHA!" she sobbed, calling out into the night.

~*~*~*~

He frowned. How could his useless half brother have done this to a human girl? He snickered dryly. How could a human girl have done this to him? He'd been watching her for a while now, curiosity and interest for the human girl almost driving him to insanity. He'd never felt like this before, it was a new emotion. Emotion. He'd never had an emotion. He'd always been cool, calm, and easy going. He never lost his temper. His only obsessions had been retrieving Tetsusaiga, and killing that half-wit brother of his. And then he'd come upon this girl. She was different, but how? It was her attitude first. That outlook on life she had that said plainly "I'm a person and I demand to be treated as an individual."

Second was her scent. Her scent drew him closer to insanity. It was not the scent he often found with normal humans. The humans he came across more often smelled dirty, of manure and sweat. She, on the other hand, was sweet. She reminded him of flower blossoms blowing with a cool breeze in spring. She had a hint of jasmine to her, something in the background that remained to tingle his senses long after she was gone.

He was interested in her. But interested didn't seem to be the right word. He couldn't think of the word he felt for this human, but he knew some of it was 'obsessed'.

He sighed. Jaken and Rin were back at the castle, off in the Western Lands. Waiting for him. He had to get back there soon. But he didn't plan to go back alone. He wanted to find out why he was suddenly attached to this human. He stepped out into the clearing, his face an expressionless mask. He could see her delicate feature leaning against the well, sobbing. Her sadness was blocking her senses, the ones that could feel the demons. That was all right with him. If she knew he was here she would probably run. He didn't want to have to chase her, not tonight. He smiled some, a rare action, thinking about a game of chase with her, as he often had to do with Rin, though he never really ran with the child. He tended to just follow along at a slow pace as the child ran around him in circles. He was a few steps away from her, he could see her clearly now. And her scent was driving him wild. The smell clouded his mind; colors began to shade some of his vision, outlining the girl in a soft violet color.

She'd stopped crying and was simply whimpering now. He reached out and grabbed her upper arm, not hard but strong enough to keep a hold on her. He heard her gasp in shock and pulled her closer to him. Her small body was pressed against his and he wrapped one arm around her waist, keeping her positioned. He liked the way she fit so perfectly with his body. He shook the thought out of his head. She was starting to struggle a bit. He smiled some. *Fine, if she wants to play this way, let's play, * he thought with another rare smile.

~*~*~*~

Kagome felt a strong arm around her waist, positioning her against a hot body. She struggled mindlessly, trying to break loose. She attempted to see who was holding her in place like this, but couldn't move her body enough to catch any features. She noticed a flash of silver hair.

"In...Inu Yasha?" she asked softly, stopping her mad struggle. She heard the creature behind her growl. The Youkai leaned closer to her; she felt their lips brush against her ear lobe.

"Not exactly."

The voice was husky and soft. Her heart skipped a beat and then started again, at an irregular pattern that hurt her chest.

Sesshoumaru.

She took in a deep breath to scream for help. Quickly a hand clamped over her mouth, muffling her cries. She struggled to break free, desperate. Her fists were flailing, trying to break his grasp. His arm quickly came away from her waist and then back down, pinning her arms to her side. Tears formed in her eyes. She didn't want to die. Not like this. Not the way Sesshoumaru would no doubt do it. She already knew his plan. He would use her to get Tetsusaiga, and then when he had it he'd kill her and Inu Yasha. She began to cry harder, the thought of her being used against the one she loved, now, was worse than she could imagine. And the more painful thought was the realization Inu Yasha would not come for her. He didn't care about her. Not like he did Kikyou, he didn't love her and wouldn't love her, not when he had Kikyou. She was only a shard detector, and he could still continue his journey without her, he had Kikyou. Pain filled her heart again, and tears began to trail down her cheeks. She went limp in his arms, a sensation of not caring came over her. So what if she died? It would ease this pain she was feeling now. She wanted to die; she knew that now. And if Sesshoumaru killed her, so be it. When she spoke, the voice she heard startled her. It was so sad, lonely, filled with the pain of a lost love. "You might as well kill me, Inu Yasha will not come for me," she frowned. Sesshoumaru frowned, taken aback by what she said, but only for a moment. Had his brother hurt her that much? And did she really believe he would sink so low as to result to kidnapping for the Tetsusaiga?

*Speak of the devil, * he thought dryly.

He could faintly smell his brother, the fool Hanyou was in a panic.

*Run as fast as you might, you wont get here in time, * he grinned.

Still he had to hurry, he sighed and brushed his lips across the nape of her neck. He was delighted when he felt her small body shiver.

"I don't intend to kill you Miko," he purred. He could smell her fear rising.

"T...then what...do you plan?" she stuttered. He leaned further to her, his lips brushing against her cheek and softly wiping away the trail of tears.

"That is not of your concern now."

Kagome's sight began to swim in and out of focus. Everything went black.

~*~*~*~

Inu Yasha stared down at Kikyou. He hadn't enjoyed the kiss in the least.

*Then why did you kiss her? * Snarled a part of him.

That was a good question. Why 'had' he kissed her? He frowned angrily, his amber eyes flashing. Because of Kagome. He had kissed Kikyou because she reminded him of Kagome. Her black hair, her eyes...no...those eyes were all wrong. They were soulless and cold. Kagome's eyes had been so full of life. He'd only wanted Kikyou now because he could not have Kagome. He was afraid of her rejection. He hated to admit it, and he probably never would out loud, but he was afraid Kagome would reject. He was terrified that she would find someone better. Every time he yelled it was because he was frustrated he couldn't get close enough to her.

(AN: I'm not going to take a lot of pity on Inu Yasha, because let's face it, he acts like a jerk quite a bit. Sorry Inu fans, please don't hate me!)

After a moment, of just staring into those lost eyes, full of hatred, his sensitive ears picked up the faint sound of a muffled sob. He turned quickly, catching a flash of silky raven hair. She'd caught him. He leaped forward. What she must think? Suddenly there was a cold dry pressure on his upper arm; he turned, looking into Kikyou's horrible eyes.

(AN: I don't like Kikyou much ^_^;;)

"Inu Yasha," her dead voice drawled. "Where are you going?"

"I have to stop Kagome," he explained in a hurry and then prepared to take off, not caring what she thought. He leaped into the air but felt the unearthly pressure on his legs and he was dragged to the ground.

"GAH!" he cried out in shock, getting a face full of dirt. He turned back, seeing Kikyou gripping his legs with a death hold.

"That kiss wasn't for me, was it Inu Yasha?" her voice was cold, acid. He shook his head slowly. Her face remained expressionless.

"It was for her?" she growled. He nodded. Finally she let go, her eyes seemed more soulless and lost than before.

"I understand," her tone dry. Quickly Inu Yasha leapt up and raced off into the forest, searching for Kagome's trail. He raced through the forest, following her enticing scent. He heard her faintly cry out his name. Was she in trouble or just mourning? What if a demon had attacked her? Suddenly he stumbled into a riverbed, going face first this time into the chilling water. He searched around madly, trying to regain her scent. He found it on the other side of the river and was chasing her again. His nose tingled with her scent and soon another's. A feral growl of anger came from him.

"Sesshoumaru," he snarled. He could see the clearing. And he saw the flash of silvery white. As he reached the clearing, the bone eater's well was empty, and it showed no signs of being used. But the area reeked with the scent of Sesshoumaru and Kagome. He saw a sparkle on the tip of the well. He walked to it slowly, nervously, and held the little container up.

*She gave up on me...* he thought wildly. *She's given up...* Inu Yasha fell to his knees. She'd slipped right through his fingers. And now she was gone.

*Kagome... *

~*~*~*~

Kagome woke slowly the familiar eternal blackness. For a moment, staring out into the dark, she was afraid she'd gone blind. But slowly, very slowly, things began to adjust. She could see the top of a velvet canopy above her, black velvet. She casually became aware of the fact that something soft was on top of her, warming her body. She carefully slid her hand over it, another velvet. Under her, brushing against her (bare?!) legs, was something like silk. She sat up. Her muscles were very sore and her body ached. Finally, the age-old question hit her.

*Where am I? *

Panic overcame her senses, adrenaline pumped into her head. She should be in the forest with Inu Yasha, shouldn't she? Inu Yasha. Sorrow followed her panic and tears formed in her eyes. She pushed them aside, angry at herself for wanting to cry at a time like this. This wasn't the right time, let alone place. Again she wondered. Where was she? She had to figure that out. She tried remembering everything that had happened. She'd seen Inu Yasha kiss Kikyou, then she ran. She was about to go into the well, stopping only for a moment to recollect herself, and then...

"Sesshoumaru!" she snapped. Her voice rang in her ears, bouncing off of the walls. Obviously this was a very large room. She shook her head, her ears stinging for a moment, and then she got off of the futon. As she slid off and fell from what felt like a great height. The futon must've been placed higher than she had planned, either that or it was a western style bed. The floor beneath her felt like a smooth stone, but very cold to the touch. She shivered and began feeling her way around in the dark. She heard the soft sound of a door opening and she began to panic.

"Who's there?" she demanded. There was a childish giggle and a loud banging sound, like a small explosion, sounded in her ears. The sound radiated off of the walls, blaring in her ears. Light flooded into a huge room, lit by fire on torches. Kagome span around, adjusting to the light blinding her for a moment. She stared to the doorway where a little girl bounded in happily. Her hair was black like Kagome's but much shorter in length. She wore a red and yellow-checkered kimono.

"Hello! My name is Rin!" she laughed. She took her hand. Kagome was taken aback, staring down at the playful thing.

"I...I'm Kagome," she replied. "You're very pretty. Are you going to be Rin's Okaasan?" Kagome stared at Rin, wide eyes.

"What?" she choked out.

"Are you going to be Rin's Okaasan?" she asked again slowly, as if Kagome were too dense to understand English.

"Where am I?"

"You are with Rin at Sesshoumaru-sama's home!" beamed the child. Kagome's heart sank as she looked around her. The room was huge, almost a temple. The walls towered above her and they were painted a dark black, giving her the feeling she was lost in the night even with the fire. There was a fireplace surrounded by cushions, a large fire burning grandly. There was a balcony with black lace curtains; she could feel the cold hair tingling her skin. She looked to where her bed was; it was indeed a western style bed. She admired the room for a moment but came back to her senses when Rin tugged on her hand. "Are you Rin's Okaasan?" she asked again, her voice hinting childish impatience. Kagome looked down at her.

"Good, you're awake," purred a voice across the room. Her eyes widen as she looked to the owner. Seeing him was like a painful shock to her senses. He was beautiful, graceful and proud and regal. His silver hair gleamed in the firelight, each strand emphasized by the shine. His golden eyes could rival the sun itself. They made the fire seem insignificant. His kimono of silk didn't even seem worthy enough to be worn by him.

Kagome stood up straight, glaring at him.

"How dare you!" she cried angrily. He arched a perfect black eye brow. With a slight cock of his head he gestured her to go on with a curiously amused look.

"You scare me half to death, then you kidnap me and take me away to this...this... WHEREVER WE ARE!" she snarled.

"You are in the Western Lands wench," he frowned. "I brought you here." He stated it as if it were a fact, something she was too dense to understand. Rin was shifting her weight on the balls of her feet. She began to bounce up and down, pleading for attention.

"Sesshoumaru-sama, is she going to be Rin's Okaasan?" she asked, for maybe the thousandth time. Sesshoumaru turned his cool gaze to the child, and then glanced back up at Kagome.

"For now Rin, yes," he answered coolly.

"Now hold it! Wait just a minute..." started Kagome. He arched a perfect brow at her again; giving her a look of finality that stated simply it was a choice he'd made that was not to be argued. She sighed in defeat as Rin began tugging at her hand, gibbering away merrily about 'Rin is so happy' and 'Okaasan is very pretty' and 'Does this mean that you're going to marry Sesshoumaru-sama?' At that Kagome froze, her face began to redden with embarrassment. She looked to Sesshoumaru to see if the same affect had been cast upon him. She saw no emotions, only indifference.

"No," they both snapped together. Rin frowned some, looking very sad and disappointed.

"Rin, go play in the gardens with Jaken," ordered Sesshoumaru. Rin smiled happily.

"Yes Sesshoumaru-sama!" she cried. Quickly she raced out of the room, leaving Kagome alone with the Youkai lord. She looked to him nervously and angrily.

"How...how..." she began furiously, ready to berate him mercilessly about just kidnapping her and taking her off to this place. She was still having trouble sinking in the fact that she was in the Western Lands.

"You're angry," he frowned, his voice hinting boredom.

"OF COURSE I'M ANGRY!" she shrieked. Sesshoumaru held back a wince as her yelling pounded against his sensitive hearing.

"Why?"

Kagome stared at him in shock.

"Why?" she mimicked his question, much more softer than before.

"Yes."

She sighed. Why was she mad? What kind of question was that? "I'm angry because I've been kidnapped, taken to a place where I don't belong, and am suddenly greeted by a child whom I don't know and immediately made her Okaasan before I have any say," she sighed. Things slowly began to sink in as she realized what had happened, realized where she was, who was standing right in front of her. Memory of what had happened began to sink in too.

~Kagome stumbled a bit through the forest, the darkness compressing her and trying to suffocate her. She'd been looking for Inu Yasha, for what reason she didn't know. She could hear a low murmur, very low; she'd almost missed it. Carefully she made her way to the voices, her heartbeat for no reason at all began to pick up speed.

She'd had a watched feeling for a while now, but tonight, tonight it was as if she were no longer alone. It was as if some invisible force was walking right at her side. She shivered.

She came to a sudden halt, realizing she'd found the source of the murmurs. She wished she hadn't. Inu Yasha was standing in the middle of a beautiful clearing, his arms around Kikyou, his mouth engulfing hers. Kikyou's arms were planted firmly around Inu Yasha's neck, holding onto him as if her life depended on him.

Tears blinded Kagome suddenly, her heart felt torn. She felt as if a part of her life, her very soul, had been ripped out.

And he had hoped I wouldn't find out, he had planned to this with out my knowing; to double cross me for as long as he could, Kagome thought to herself in pain.

She tore away from the seen, but not before a whimper of pain escaped her. She ran away from him, from the one she had loved, from her entire world. All she knew was that she just had to get away.~

Sesshoumaru watched with curiosity, amusement, and interest as emotions played across Kagome's face. She looked shocked first, and then horror marred her beautiful features, now she looked as if she were in great pain and sorrow. She fell to her knees on the ground, tears beginning to blur her vision. He kneeled next to her, curious of if she was hurt or not. He could smell no blood. Salty tears ran down her cheeks, the scent stinging his nose. He automatically brought his arms around the Miko, running his lips gently against the trail of tears and wiping them away. He was delighted when he felt her shiver beneath him.

"You don't understand. I've been taken away from those I love to a place where I'm not even wanted," she whispered huskily through her tears. Sesshoumaru frowned. Admittedly he had not thought about what she might go through when she'd gotten here. He'd only had his fantasies.

He had hoped Kagome would wake up, being fearful of where she was. She would stumble from her bed and, after a few moments of allowing her to panic, he would appear. He'd wanted to have a small intelligent conversation with her, and then he would lay down the line. It should've gone smoothly from there. She'd submit after realizing there was no way she could possibly fight him, and from then on he would deal with things as they came.

He had not expected Rin to get to her first.

But this was a problem; he didn't want to deal with a crying Ningen. He cupped her face softly with his hands, bringing her blue gray eyes to look directly into his golden ones.

"Stop crying wench," he ordered. Those blue gray eyes began to fill with a shocking ocean blue. Anger radiated off her body.

"HOW CAN YOU JUST TELL ME TO STOP CRYING! I KNEW YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND BUT THIS IS REDICULOUS!" the Miko snarled loudly. Again Sesshoumaru resisted placing his hands over his ears from the pain. He growled at her.

"Shut it wench!" he snarled back at her. She was about to say something again when he shot at her, shoving her to the ground and pinning her with his legs. His hand went over her mouth so she wasn't able to speak. He leaned close to her, his nose barely touching hers.

"You are in my lands now Miko, you will do as I say," he stated simply.

~*~*~*~

Inu Yasha stared down at the almost complete Shikon Shard. *Just one more, * he thought.

It had been three days now sense Kagome had been taken away from him. He missed her, yes, but she had given up on him in the first place. Shippou was furious at him, constantly finding ways to make the Hanyou miserable. Sango refused to talk to him; the monk had become bored of groping her because she didn't seem to care anymore. Inu Yasha sighed. He would gladly go after Kagome, if he knew where Sesshoumaru had taken her.

~"The Western Lands you baka!" screamed Shippou. Inu Yasha winced. "It's not like we've been invited. The very second we take a step into the lands Sesshoumaru will have either Kagome or us killed," he snarled back. Shippou was silent for a moment before his eyes glanced to the Tetsusaiga. "You know what he wants Inu Yasha," his voice was cold. Inu Yasha blanched. "There is no way I'm giving him Tetsusaiga!" he whined. Sango sent him a death glare.

"You'd rather have your sword than Kagome's life?" she whispered in shock. Inu Yasha began to fidget a bit. Myoga appeared next. Inu Yasha had never been more thankful to see the coward flea.

"If Lord Inu Yasha were to give the Tetsusaiga to his brother then the results could be disastrous," began to flea. "Sesshoumaru could use the sword against Lord Inu Yasha and kill Lady Kagome as well." Shippou frowned sadly. Miroku gave the fox a reassuring pat on the back.

"Don't worry Shippou, we'll save Kagome the first chance we get," frowned Inu Yasha.~

Inu Yasha sighed again. The accursed fox had yet to stop moping. He shot the Hanyou dirty looks every chance he got.

I've got to help Kagome, he though drearily. He had to save her, but...something just didn't feel right about saving her. He looked back down at the Shikon Shard. It was almost complete, that's what he needed to do now.

~*~*~*~

Kagome looked out into the rain. She'd been here for four days, and nothing bad had happened to her yet. In fact, she was treated like royalty. Every day she had a new beautiful kimono at the foot of her bed. Everyday she went out into the beautiful gardens and played with Rin. Every day was enjoyable. Sesshoumaru never hurt her, in fact, sometimes he acted as if she wasn't even there. She remembered back to what had happened after Sesshoumaru had told her what was what. He'd said he was master of this castle. She'd sent him back a defiant glare.

~"What do you want Sesshoumaru?" she growled. He didn't answer at first.

"I thought I already made that evident Miko," he growled lowly. His voice was huskier than she usually heard it. He smoothly ran his lips down her neck and she shivered again.

I know! She thought. He's doing this to get the Tetsusaiga.

"You're not going to get the Tetsusaiga Sesshoumaru, Inu Yasha wont come for me," she growled again. Sesshoumaru looked down at her, his face masking his annoyance. Did she still believe that? He growled and stood up, stalking out of the room, something he rarely did, and left her to herself.~

Kagome sighed. Would Inu Yasha ever really come for her? No, she already knew that answer. What about her friends? Probably not. She resisted crying, her heart feeling like it was about to tear again. A small trail of tears began to fall and she cursed herself mentally.

~*~*~*~

The salty smell of tears stung at his nose, along with the naturally appealing scent of Kagome. He frowned. She was crying again. His frown turned to an angry scowl. She wouldn't speak to him; if possible she even tried ignoring his existence. She kept Rin contented, much the thankfulness of the toad Youkai Jaken. A soft growl formed in his throat. The wench had no idea what her scent did to him. She was always right there, her scent mingling with the rain that had poured for days now. It drove him nearly insane. And now the saltiness of her tears, with the fresh smell of rain, 'along' with her scent...

He was at her door, about the slam the thing open. He didn't know 'what' he would do. He'd do 'something'.

He could feel her sadness through the strong wood. He winced. Why did she have to cry? She should be thankful! For God's sake he took her in when she was most depressed, when her world seemed to be crashing down.

Carefully he opened the door, making sure to stay silent. He saw her profile staring out into the rain; her cheeks were stained with tears. He admired her for a moment. Staring lost, into her large blue-gray eyes. The kind that reminded him of a storm beneath the ocean. She looked to him then, breaking him from his spell.

"Come to tell me to stop again?" she snapped. He kept his expression indifferent.

"I came to talk Miko," he frowned. He could feel her body tense.

"I'm not telling you anything about Inu Yasha or my friends," she stated. He resisted rolling his eyes, a gesture he had seen her do many times before.

"I don't care about them," he almost snarled.

*Especially that Hanyou! * He thought acidly.

He glanced towards her bed.

"Sit," he ordered. She crossed her arms defiantly.

"I am not going to be ordered around."

He shot at her, impatient with her rebelliousness. He shoved her down onto her bed, clutching her wrists firmly she was pinned down. He could smell a wave of fear go though her then disappear as quickly as it had come. She leaned her face close to his.

"Go ahead, kill me," she challenged. He grinned coolly and he could smell her fear increase suddenly. Good. That was what he wanted. The scents were clouding his vision some. He leaned closer to her; she shied away from him. "Is that what I want to do?" he hissed. She drew herself up a bit, trying to look brave but the odor of fear gave her away.

"Just 'do It', I dare you," she smirked in a rather steady voice. He could smell her impatience; she wanted to die. He leaned closer to her, and she tried pulling back some. She was still afraid. He kept her firmly where she was, holding her down as hard as possible. Her aroma began to cover his vision, making him almost lose touch with reality. She was hallowed in a violet color again, making her seem more angelic than she had. He leaned to the side of her face, running his lips along her cheek and tasting the salt of her tears. He buried his nose in her hair, inhaling her scent. His mind began to whirl. He pulled back a bit so he could look at her expressions from the corner of his eyes.

"As you wish Miko," he growled right in her ear.

He flew down and claimed her mouth. Tasting as much of her as he could. He could feel her shock as her body tensed against him. He slid his tongue into her mouth, searching and feeling around the caverns of it. He tasted as much of her as he could. He felt her tongue shyly slide against his. He smiled in spite of himself. Her shock ebbed away as she began to explore this new sensation. He looked into her mind as he kissed her deeply. He smiled with glee as he was met with flashes of colors. Gold, violet, a gentle pink, and colors not even named by human kind. He searched into her memories and saw as much as he could.

He saw the first time she'd seen him, of course he'd seen her before he'd even had that fight with the Hanyou. He was pleased to see she had not seen him as a monster. In fact, she'd thought him magnificent, though she didn't even realize that. Indeed she'd also seen him cruel hearted for wanting to kill the Hanyou but that mattered not to him. He was also delighted to see this was her first kiss.

*I'm honored to be her first, * he thought.

~*~*~*~

She was shocked, needless to say. She'd never been kissed and he was a good kisser! His mouth engulfed hers entirely. His lips were smoother than she would ever thought them to be. Her senses were reeling and before she knew what had happened she'd begun to kiss him back. Everything came to her then left.

*He wants Inu Yasha dead! *

*He wants the Tetsusaiga! *

*He's just trying to seduce you for the sword! *

So? For now...for now she didn't care. All that mattered was that he was here now, and he was kissing her! She opened her eyes blurrily to see the flashing of silver hair and golden eyes.

*Inu Yasha? * She thought curiously.

She felt his body tense suddenly and began to pull away some. She didn't want him to go though. She realized, in that moment, he was too kind to be Inu Yasha. Sure he'd kidnapped her, tried to kill her and Inu Yasha and the others, and so what if he had killed before. So had Inu Yasha. But he was nothing like Inu Yasha.

*He's nothing like Inu Yasha...* she thought to herself sternly. *He never will be, they are two different people. *

She stared up at him, he'd broken loose from her, but in his eyes she saw kindness.

~*~*~*~

As he'd searched through her thoughts he'd found very few of the Hanyou for the moment. He was contented. All of them were about him. He'd heard her thinking, trying to prove to herself that what she was doing was wrong. But in the end her passion had defeated her. Then the curious though smacked him right in the face.

*"Inu Yasha?" *

He tensed. That was it? While kissing him she thought of the fool like this? He tried jerking away but she tried holding on. He felt a twinge of pain, rare. But when he finally broke loose, he caught her very last thought.

*"He's nothing like Inu Yasha... He never will be, they are two different people." *

He smiled softly down at her. She didn't see him as Inu Yasha then? She didn't. He leaned close, inhaling her scent one more time before straightening his self up and leaving her to herself, as if nothing had happened.

*But something did happen, * he grinned.
