Chapter One

"Why do you have to be so damned insensitive," Kagome yelled at Inuyasha. ~~She's never called me that before.~~ While Inuyasha was stuck in his own thoughts Kagome ran off into the forest. Before she finally decided to stop she had no idea where she was. She could hear people screaming. She ran to where she heard them. She saw a huge demon killing all of the villagers. Then she realised that Sesshoumaru was fighting the demon. Then she realised that she didn't have her bow or arrows. She was defenceless. Then Sesshoumaru landed right in front of her. She saw one of the villagers aiming an arrow at him. She jumped in front of him and the arrow hit her. She fell backwards on top of him. He asmost fell over. He laid her on the ground and finished off the demon. He took her back to his castle and took her into one the rooms and changed her onto some of his mothers clothes. She woke up at what she thought was the middle of the night, but the sun was just about to rise. "You're not fully rested yet, you need more sleep," she heard someone say.

She knew it was Sesshoumaru. "Hello Sesshoumaru," she said.

She didn't hear anyone answer. She turned around and saw Sesshoumaru sticking a wet cloth into some water. Then she realised that there was a little girl sleeping next to her. "Who is this?" she asked. "That is Rin," he answered. "How did you find her?" she asked. "After Inuyasha tried to use the wind scare on me the Tensaiga saved me. Rin found me and tried to give me food, but I don't eat human food. She was attacked by wolves and was half already eaten. I used the Tensaiga om her and she was healed, now she lives with me," he answered. "Okay," she said,"Do you know how old she is?" "She doesn't talk to anyone yet, she doesn't trust any one." he said. "Shes been that way since her parents died. She's had a hard time. The villagers would beat her for catching fish out the lake by the village." "That's bad." she said. "I'm going back to sleep now. Night." She didn't get an answer. She fell asleep almost atomatically. She was still thinking about Rin.

~~Dream~~

"What is this?" she asked herself. "Look over here." she heard someone from behind her say.

She turned around and saw Kikyo, Naraku, Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Keade standing there.

"Why did you try to kill her?" Sango asked her. "Who?" she asked. "What are you talking about?" "Like you don't know." Kiyo said. "Why did you do that to Rin?" Inuyasha asked. "Whose Rin?" she asked. "The little girl that lives with Sesshoumaru," Keade said. "Oh God." she said.

~~End Dream~~

"Ahhhhh," she screamed when she woke up.

With instinct Sesshoumaru rn into the room where he heard the scream.

"What happened?" he asked. "Where is she?" she asked him. "Who?" he asked. "Rin, where is she?" she asked. "She's in her room, why?" he asked. "I need to see her," she said. "Why?" he asked. "Please, I have to see her." she said. "Could you please show me to her room?" "Sure," he said.

They walked to her room together. When they came to the door of her room Kagome realised that this was Sesshoumaru's Room. When they walked in they saw Rin sitting on her bed writing something.

"What are you writing?" Sesshoumaru asked.

There was no answer.

"Hello Rin," Kagome said. Kagome walked over and Sesshoumaru saw Rin tense up.

"It's okay Rin Kagome won't hurt you." Sesshoumaru said. He saw Rin untense. Kagome walked over and sat beside Rin and saw what Rin was writing. Then Sesshoumaru walked out.

"You love Sesshoumaru don't you?" Kagome asked.

Rin shook her head yes.

"He is a very nice man or youkai." she said. "How old are you?" "Eight." Rin said. "You talked to me." she said. "Sesshoumaru-sama talks about you alot. After he came back home one night he would come into my room and talk to me about you. He says that he thinks you are very nice." she said. "Well he seems very nice too," she said. "Really?" she asked. "Yes." Kagome said. "Well I had to come and talk to you, because I saw something in a dream that I had. It was very bad. I had to come and check on you. Well I have to go get some sleep. Bye." "Bye."

Kagome walked out of the door and ot hit Sesshoumaru.

"Have you been there the whole time? Did you hear everything in our conversation?" she asked. "Yes I did." he answered. They walked out back to Kagome's room together. She went into her room and went to sleep.
