Chapter 1: Reunion

It was a bright and sunny day at the Sesshoumaru palace. All was going along great until Sesshoumaru decided to take a walk. Only he and his trusted servant lived at his glorious mansion. He stopped by many villages to buy materials for his soon to be bride(of course this marriage was against his will.) His mother decided it was time for the demon to marry. He never thought of himself as the marrying type. This pointed out a problem. He had fallen in love with a small human girl. That he had taken care of since her parents had died. He decided that it was time to let her go, but he did not want to. He only wanted what was best for her so he decided to let her go. The girl was only hoped that she had not yet married and had already had someone else's child.

"Hello, sir. Would you like to buy a pretty necklace for a pretty lady?" A shopkeeper asked as Sesshoumaru walked on by ignoring the man. His mother soon appeared.

"Sesshoumaru you do not seem happy. I have picked the prettiest girl for you and she owns the eastern lands." His mother smiled evily. She only wanted the land out of the marriage. She did not care if her son was happy.

"Nothing is wrong. I'm just thinking of what Yuki-San had said to me." Sesshoumaru hung his head in dismay.

"Think nothing of that girl. She was born of another woman and we all know that father wanted you to be the happy one. He would agree with me if he was still around, but that wretched human girl he fell in love with took him to his grave adn we all know that. Don't we dear." His mother walked off in an opposite direction. He continued to walk and soon bumped into a small human girl. He recognized in a split second who the girl was. It was Rin the girl who had stolen his heart and was to keep it for always. Without realizing it he had Rin wrapped tightly in his arms and he didn't want to let go. She in return hugged him and felt some strange emotion sweep over her and she did not want to let go of him.

"Rin I have missed you for so long." Sesshoumaru was trying to control himself. He wanted to take Rin to a secluded area and show her his true feelings for her, but couldn't.

"I to have missed you." Rin felt that she had been in this situation before and also wanted Sesshoumaru to take her far away so that she could show her true feelings for him. She didn't realize how much she loved him until that very moment when he was holding her in his arms.

Let's just go far away and never look back upon the lives of which we chose to leave, Rin thought as she buried her face into his robes. Rin you do not understand how much pain I have been in since I let you leave it was the most stupidest thing I have ever done, Sesshoumaru's breathing increased and he was down to last bit of control. His mother saw what was going on between her son and some human girl and rushed over to them.

"SESSHOUMARU!" His mother yelled as loud as she possibly could, "What are you doing with that human girl?! I thought you let her go! She is not worthy enough in your demonic prescence! Let her go right now!"
