Kagome awoke to find herself wrapped up in Sesshomaru's arms and tail. She had gotten a goodnight's rest and was grateful for it. She looked at her surroundings and saw that she and Sesshomaru had been joined by their friends. Kagome had to smile at the sight of Sango holding her beloved boomerang across her backside due to the fact that Miroku had taken up the space behind her. Obviously, Sango was taking no chances. Kasirei had curled up with the tablet in her arms and Inu Yasha had placed himself behind her in a sitting position as if he were watching over her. Kagome's lips curled into a smile at seeing the former hanyou taking an interest in the panther miko. Perhaps Kasirei could break through the shell that Inu Yasha had sealed himself in. Sesshomaru had been awake for a couple of hours and had been watching over his companions while they slept. As soon as he felt his mate stir, he looked down at her and was greeted by her dark brown eyes.

"Hi." Kagome whispered. She grinned sheepishly and tried to untangle herself from his tail.

Sesshomaru sighed and allowed his tail to tighten around his woman's form.

"Sesshomaru, let go." Kagome whispered at him sternly.

Sesshomaru shook his head and placed his hand behind her head. He forced her back down to his chest and held her there.

"Be quiet for once, woman. Just let me hold you." Sesshomaru whispered back.

Kagome rolled her eyes. In a moment's weakness, she bought a lifetime of irritation. After a few minutes, Kagome finally had enough. She pushed herself away from him and unwrapped his tail herself. She gave him a nasty look and stepped away from him. Kagome quietly made her way from camp and headed to the stream to wash up.

LEMON START

She removed all of her clothing and stepped into the cool water. She dunked her head and quickly rose when she felt a presence near her. She opened her eyes, and there stood Sesshomaru in all of his naked glory. He silently made his way over to Kagome and watched as she began to glare at him. 'I wonder if she is going to be playing hard to get now.' he thought. Kagome turned her back to him and tried to walk away. He caught her by wrapping his arms around her waist and pulled her back to him. Before she could say anything, Sesshomaru lowered his mouth to her mark and began to nibble and suck at it. Kagome's body began to tremble. When he felt the fight leave her, he allowed one of his hands to slip to her dark nest of curls. His fingers made their way between her lips and he began to massage the bud that lay between them. Kagome's head fell backward onto Sesshomaru's shoulder. With each caress, he was bringing her to climax and fast. He began to increase his speed and after a few more minutes of torturing her body, she felt a mind numbing release and allowed herself to cry out. It was like nothing she had ever felt before. The previous night included. Sesshomaru smirked at her release and gathered her in his arms. She was going to pay dearly for leaving his warmth this morning. He was going to teach her a lesson she would not soon forget. Sesshomaru moved his mate from the water and lay her on the ground. He quickly got between her thighs and placed his tongue where his fingers had previously been. Kagome arched her back and moaned with every stroke of his tongue and soon felt his fingers slip into her body. Again, Kagome was hit with a powerful release and she was sure that it more powerful than the first. Sesshomaru kept up the pressure and speed, and was delighted that Kagome was enjoying herself. After a few more minutes of pleasure, Sesshomaru eased himself up to her lips. He kissed her deeply and looked into her eyes. "Do you want me?" he asked.

Kagome's body was screaming for him and so she nodded her head. She was not sure if she could trust herself not to stutter. She needed him badly. So she was shocked when he simply smirked and got off of her.

"The next time I hold you in my arms, you will not leave them until I say that you may." Sesshomaru smirked. He turned and made his way back to the stream to wash his body off and then he quickly got dressed. He looked back to where his mate lay, and he grinned. She had gotten the point, from the looks of it. He then made his way back to camp.

Kagome lay in total shock. Then that shock turned into anger. 'How dare he!' she thought. Her mind began to stir and all sorts of things that she could do to make the bastard whimper came to mind. However, she did not want to hurt her new mate. If she was going to be stuck with him, then he needed to learn a lesson of his own. She would wait for the perfect time. The next time when he would come to her to find his release, he would know exactly how it feels to be frusterated. She slowly got up and went back to the stream to cool off. As she sat, her mind began to focus on Naraku. The bastard was in reaching distance of the final tablet, so why did he allow the roof to collapse on it? Unless, he knows something about the tablets that she didn't. Kagome decided to pull Kasirei aside and find out all she could about these tablets. Something was not making sense. After she discovered what he was up to, then Kagome would deal with Kikyo. That bitch had been a thorn in her side for far too long. As Kagome focused all of her anger on Kikyo, she allowed her senses to expand. With her mental ability, she began to cause ripples in the stream as the ground began to shake. Kagome's anger was not just at Kikyo, but at herself as well. She had allowed herself to become weak, especially around those that she loved. Before, it had been simpler. It was just her. She had taken a cold exterior with Kresh the others, so it had not mattered to her when she killed, but now, she felt that she did not want to kill. Kagome shook her head, and made her way out of stream. The shaking had stopped and Kagome felt a bit better. It had been a while since she used her abilities, and she decided that it was high time to go back to the western lands for some training. She would take Kasirei and begin to teach the panther miko the ways of the warrior. The more strength that she had on her side, the better. Kasirei would make an excellent warrior, and the fact that she was already a guardian made the prospect more appealing. Kagome dressed and made her way to the camp. Sitting in all of his smuggness was Sesshomaru. He quirked an eyebrow at her to try to irritate her, but the eyebrow quickly dissappeared when he saw the mask of indifference on her face. The others had awaken and looked at their friend. They, too, were stunned at her facial expression. She moved towards Kasirei and kneeled.

"We are all going back to the western lands. Kasirei, I am going to start training you in the way of the warrior. I need to make sure that if something should happen to me, our ways will survive. Midoriko trained me, and I will train you. You will train another and so on and so forth. Gather all of your belongings, we set out after breakfast." Kagome said.

Kasirei sat in silence. She never expected an honor such as this. All her life, she had looked to the warrior mikos in awe, but to think about becoming one of them was too good to be true. Kagome took the tablet from Kasirei and began to study it. A frown creased her brow as she tried to read the ancient scriptures. She could only make out some of the words, and would need use of the extensive library at the palace to understand the rest. Sango and Miroku had noticed the smug look that had been on Sesshomaru's face when he came back to the camp and had decided that he and Kagome must have gotten friendly again, but after seeing her look upon returning to camp, they both quickly decided that they were totally wrong. The look on her face was not one of total bliss. Miroku leaned over to Sango and whispered, "Honeymoons over." Sango nodded.

Sesshomaru immediatly began to wonder if he had been in the wrong not to satisy his mate. The look on her face told him that she was extremely angry and he knew that there would be hell to pay once they were alone again. After Kagome made her announcement, he decided that it would be the perfect time to go and get Rin. Now that he and Kagome were mated, Kagome was Rin's mother, and she needed to get used to the idea. As Kagome was packing up her belongings, he approached her.

"Kagome." He said. He had allowed his cold mask to cover his face and once he was sure that he had her attention, he continued, "I need to go and get Rin. She is at the village with the old miko. We will meet you back at the palace."

Kagome nodded and went back to what she was doing. She needed to get herself back into the warrior's frame of mind. Sesshomaru did not like being dismissed by anyone. He grabbed his mates arm and yanked her away from the others.

"Listen to me. I will not be ignored, Kagome." he hissed.

Kagome yanked her arm away and looked coldly at him. "I was not ignoring you, Sesshomaru. I heard every word that you said. I also gave you a response. What else did you want me to do?"

Sesshomaru could feel his anger starting to rise. If he did not leave, then words would be said that would hurt both of them.

"I will talk to you at the palace. Do try and have a better attitude when you get home." Sesshomaru said before turning away.

Kagome bristled at this statement. She walked up behind him and grabbed his arm. When he turned around, she could see that his eyes were slowly turning red.

"You are not my father. Do not tell me how to conduct myself. Are we clear? I am a grown woman and I will not allow you to treat me as you would Jaken." Kagome growled. She let go of his arm and stalked past him. She made it to the camp and picked up her pack. She tied the tetsaiga to her waist and looked over at her friends. They all had an expression of horror on their faces. Kagome quickly ran towards her friends as whipped around. Standing before her was an extremly pissed off inuyoukai. She threw down her pack and got into a defensive stance. Without turning around she addressed her friends.

"I want you guys to go ahead, I will catch up with you." she said.

Kasirei shook her head. "I am not leaving you with him."

"Kasirei, here is your very first lesson: Always do as your teacher tells you, and without question." Kagome said.

Kasirei opened her mouth, but then thought better. She nodded and grabbed Inu Yasha and Sango's arm. "Come on hentai. We don't need to witness their lover's spat."

Miroku nodded and they quickly left the area. As soon as they were gone, Sesshomaru began to growl at Kagome. His bitch has openly defied him and his demon blood demanded her punishment. She needed to learn that he was the male in this relationship and it was going to be his way or else.

Kagome knew that he was mad. But he needed to understand that she was not going to put up with his bullshit. They began to circle each other. Finally, Sesshomaru lept into the air only to be surrounded by the same pink light that had surrounded her opponent in Kyoto. He was stunned, and when he looked up into her face, he saw that she had a smirk on her lips.

"Until you calm down, you will be suspended. So I suggest that you sooth your blood or else you are going to be stuck there for quite a while. I will see you later, Sesshomaru." Kagome said. She gathered up her pack and began to make her way towards the direction her friends were in. On an impulse, she turned back and blew him a kiss and then continued on her way. She could hear his growls and smiled to herself. This was nothing compared to what she would do to repay him for the incident in the stream.

Sesshomaru was livid. His bitch caught him in her mind trap, and he was helpless to do anything about it. After a while, he began to calm down. It was infuriating to him to know that she had gotten the better of him. As he calmed, the pink began to fade. Finally, after all of the red had left his golden eyes, he dropped to the ground. His mind was now made up. He was definitly going to have to teach her to behave, especially now that she was the lady of the western lands. She was going to have to learn to obey him, especially when around others. Sesshomaru called for his cloud and began to make his way towards Rin. He knew that Rin liked Kagome and Kagome was very fond of Rin. Hopefully, Rin would be the thing Kagome needed to calm her down.

Naraku and Kikyo had been watching the entire scene between Sesshomaru and Kagome from start to finish. Even Kikyo was suprised at her ability to control objects with her mind, and warned Naraku not to underestimate the warrior miko.

"Remember Naraku, a single warrior miko can do much damage. She cannot be taken lightly." Kikyo warned.

Naraku smile. Poor Kikyo, he thought. He was well aware of what warrior mikos could do. What Kikyo didn't know was that once he and Kagome stood toe to toe in battle, he would recite the ancient incantation that would cause the rebirth of the shikon jewel. After its rebirth, then he could get rid of Kikyo and claim his true soul mate. The warrior miko, Kagome. He never intended for her to die in the eastern temple. He needed Kikyo to believe that he wanted her dead so that she would read the scriptures for him. Once her usefullness was fulfilled, then she could return to hell for all he cared. Then he would deal with the demon lord, himself. Destroying Sesshomaru would be great fun and he was sure that after bringing Kagome over to his side, that she would have no problems ridding their lives of his nuisance. Yes, he was about to have everything he so richly desired.
