This is a really great story but I love the ones where they all come to find her in the present. You really have tied everyone into the story so perfect. An extremely intricate puzzel. And even if Naraku isn't truly evil, he is still creepy and up to no good.
I found the chat-room chapters very interesting and all that had to take a really long time to orchestrate to make it seem like a real chat-room. I was impressed with the obvious work that went into it.
I throroughly enjoyed this story and was disappointed when chapter 7 finally arrived because it didn't seem that long. That is the mark of a good story, when the reader is scooped into the story and doesn't notice the time.
Looking forward to much more, GREAT JOB, til next time, Deb.

Ooooh. Chat transcripts are a bad way to go from a purely literary perspective. When writing prose, your goal is to make the reading experience easy and pleasureable. You strive to create a kind of natural flow through for the narrative. Think of it as a stream.
A stream that flows through naturally is pleasant to the eyes and ears. But a stream broken by dams or other man made objects tends to be too noisy or too still.
Dialogue should be like the bubbling brooke. Not like a raging waterfall of words. Chatspeak and chat logs, are noisy, distracting and worst of all...BORING.
I wouldn't read my own chat logs...and I WROTE them. Why in the world would you think anyone else would like to read a fictional one? There is a way to make this premise work. But do it the conventional way novel writers have used for hundreds of years. Make it conversational. Let it flow into the narrative.
Don't make it a real time chat log. Because the minute I saw that was the very same minute I decided not to read another sentence of this story.
