The reason I think the neck looks awkward is because its rather...short. I have noticed from other fanarts, that the longer the neck, the older the character looks. From what I see for the neck, is that he looks younger then he should.

Example, CHIBI's have short necks. =3 Makes them looks small, young, and cute. =3 Half naked Sesshomaru? HAWT. not Cute. XDDD
