This might be a stupid question, but does Sesshoumaru regain his original left arm (is it?) that Inuyasha cut off by the end of the Final Act? Or, does he forever remain one-armed even after the Final Act?

XD Not sure.

He got an arm back when he got Bankusaiga in the latter part of the manga (haven't seen most of the final act so I don't know what they did in it).

ive seen some of final act and as far as I know he doesnt have it back o.O

Three words in the anime and you may not want to read it because it is a spoiler...YES HE DOES! The Final Act does follow the latter part of the manga, especially where he gains Bakusaiga.

DQ has it right and it this is a spoiler...he does reclaim his arm when Bakusaiga forms.

Don't remember which episode of Final Act it is, but it is manga chapter 518. I remember that well. It caused a major forum thread on one of the sites I frequent when it came out. Several authors were panicking wondering if they should go back and change their in progress stories where they had him get it back by other means.

It also caused an artist on DeviantArt to have to eat a heaping helping of humble pie over a rather rude comic he did about fanfic writers and the things he found wrong with them. I got a bigger laugh out of his frustrated response than the comic itself.

I scanned through the episodes, so I know which one, but really don't want to give it away. Better to watch the show all the way through and find out what happens!

He doesn't re-claim his lost arm so much as gets a new one (in chapter 518 of the manga, episode 17 of FA). Totosai explains it in more detail when it first happens.

Also, if you look closely his new arm is lacking the distinct demonic markings of his old one.
