The story may be a few years old but it is set in the modern era where Kagome is an untrained miko or a miko not set on the path of a miko at her families shrine. She is very independent and ends up falling in love with Sesshoumaru and her family disagree's with her especially her mother. Demon society is known of in the human world and while it isn't complete segregation there is a division of the society's where there is a human city and a youkai city. When Sesshoumaru get attacked and poisoned somehow and is in the hospital close to death Kagome comes into his hospital room and performs a sacred miko ritual to save him that is kind of like binding ceremony for mikos and in the human world the mikos (especially her mother) are outraged, while the youkai society embraces her and accepts her actions even telling her she did a great thing.

This is all I can remember about the story but I really really want to find it again, because it was an awesome story. Any help would be much appreciated.
