If want you Sango to be the abuser you could always use her hatred for Naraku for destroying her village and her brother against Kagome. Since it was kind of her fault that the jewel shattered and use the anger for Naraku towards Kagome. I'm not sure if Sango ever knew that it was Kagome who started this whole thing so it could be a surprise thing.

It's always a challenge to write a hero being a bad guy. You could possibly write her being neglectful due to her being so preoccupied with her worry over Kohaku, and stress from Miroku's womanizing? She could be verging into depression herself without Kagome being able to cheer her up (due to Kagome also being depressed.) I don't know how that would play into whatever storyline you have planned for her.

Hi
I'm writing a story called "what she deserves" it's about depression, anxiety and abuse.

I want to bring out Sango as being neglectful/abusive of kagome. But I'm not too sure how to create that persona for her.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I read a story like this recently. Basically Sango and Inuyasha hooked up and ended up bullying Kagome. If I remember correctly, they convinced themselves that their loved ones would still be living [undead in Kikyo's case] had Kagome not shattered the jewel. It was sorta believable, if not a bit extreme.
