I have a question; Does anyone know anything about SKYPE? D-Man's fahter was telling me about it and he says that you can use SKYPE to make and receive phone calls somehow? Is this true? If so, How? I was just wondering and i know it uses your webcam somehow.

Yeah you can make phone calls and stuff with it. I use to have it, but I didn't really understand it much so I didn't keep it.

So- did they give you a phone number or something? I'm just interested because I had a huge fight with my phone service provider about them adding unwanted and unrequested services to my phone. Hating them right about now!

You know what... I think they just have Skype addresses... I'm not sure maybe I should google that

Skype also makes this thing that looks like a cell phone, so you can use it anywhere you want if you don't have access to a computer. I looked into it at one point. The price isn't so bad (under $40), but I'm cheap and didn't want to have to add money to an account to use it when I could just use MSN or something that comes with voice chat at home.

They also have an app for the iPhone.

Yea, Skype is the more well known method for internet voice chat. But I have relatives that use Yahoo! a lot to voice chat between the U.S. and Vietnam. I've had relatives call me on my cell phone this way before too.

It's pretty interesting, except I don't understand how it all works.
