Does anyone know about how long the shard hunt, from the time Kagome was pulled into the well on her 15th Birthday to when she was returned from the void, really took?

Well, Rumiko Takahashi didn't make a very defined timeline, but I'd say it didn't reach an entire year.

I counted the new moons once and I think there were 8. Assuming RT didn't skip any moons, the manga would be around 9 months long.
