Lost Souls by Lulu

One Meeting, Ten Years

The sun sat behind the hills whilst the sakura trees swayed in the wind. A single, human female stood in the gardens of the Western palace with a gentle smile on her delicate face. All while rubbing her stomach.

"Soon my dear..." She whispered with a type of fondness that only a mother was capable of.

Strong arms then warped themselves around the pregnant woman as she looked up and smiled when she saw the face of a demon. Not just any demon though, it was the Lord of the West, her mate, her husband, her lover. "You shouldn't be out of bed." He whispered in her ear.

Such a rare sight that was, seeing the stoic demon having an expression of love and adoration.

"And shouldn't you be taking care of your duties?" She countered as he smirked.

"True enough, but my mother is taking care of them." Was her reply as she laughed.

"But you should be taking care of your own land." The stars in the sky were appearing, such a magnificent sight. Thought Kagome. "Soon you'll be able to see the stars as well," she whispered to her unborn child.

"Soon we will have a family," whispered the demon lord as he held his mate and unborn child in his arms.

"What do you mean your taking another mate?" Asked Kagome with a cold edge to her voice as she sat on their bed, all while holding her stomach while glaring at the demon in front of her.

"I need to find a demon mate for the court, so far the advisers are not happy with my current." He replied as he began to pace around in the massive bedroom. Every step he took, the noise echoed.

"What, so I'm not good enough now?" Yelled Kagome as she abruptly stood up. "So I'm to week now? After everything we have been through! The Shikon no Tama, the Tessaiga, the-" She yelled as the demon stopped pacing.

"Miko, be quiet." He instructed but what he said as ignored.

"So your just going to abandon me, me and the child?" She sobbed as he just stared at her and heaved out a sigh.

"Miko, you know that you will always be first in my heart," he whispered as he comforted her.

A harsh, bitter laughter was heard through out the room as the current lady of the West smirked.

"Did you know that those were the words that his father spoke to me before he ran off with that human?" Asked the lady with a smirk on her face, her hands holding the necklace that she was left with. "Such a pity."

"W-what do you mean by that," stuttered Kagome as the lady made a 'tsking' sound.

"You will always be the first in my heart, that was what my former mate told me, right before he ran off to that human," she said with a sigh, "it seams that history is repeating itself."

"... Are you saying that Sesshomaru will leave me soon..?" She whispered as the lady smiled towards her.

"I'm not stupid and I think that foolish sun of mine is making a mistake. He could have just asked me to make those advisers shut up if he wanted to. But it seams like he prefers the harder way." Said the lady as she sipped her tea after looking out the window. "Ah well, it seams like the mating ceremony already started."

"What do you mean! He didn't even tell me that he already found another mate!" Exclaimed Kagome as she felt a stab of betrayal towards her heart.

"Oh?" Questioned the lady with a slightly amused expression as she sighed again, "then his love for you might be turning thin."

"Target located," muttered Kagome as she jumped down from the roof, landing onto the wooden floor with a light thump. Rushing towards the oak door, she quietly crept in. With every tick and every tock that the clock made inside her heart, she quickened up her paste. And soon, she was standing in front of glorious golden doors. Taking a breath of air in, she narrowed her sapphire eyes before opening the cold door. And inside, she saw the Lady and Lord of the West.

"Your highness," she mocked as she willed her claws to stay hidden while she tried not to snarl.

"Hn." Was the only reply she received. It was so familiar yet so distant. "So it seams you managed to return miko."

"Filthy human," muttered Lady Kagura as she glared at the being in front of her with hate filled crimson eyes. But then was silenced when the lord raised his hand.

"Why have you returned?" Questioned the lord, his expression still as stoic as ever. But inside, he felt a storm of emotions. It was meant to be over, she shouldn't be here. In fact, she couldn't even be here! She was dead!

"Ah, that is something that I would just love to tell you," said Kagome as she exaggerated on the word love, "but didn't you always say that actions spoke better then words?" She smirked as his eyes narrowed.

To them, they were dancing to a song of lies, the world around them completely gone. Just them, just like ten years ago, but now, the love was replaced by bitter loathing and a one sided love with a hint of horror.

"You have but a minute of my time miko, be gracious that I even allow you in my presence." He instructed as she smirked.

She clapped her hands, slowly, ever so slowly as the lights began to dim down. With this action, the lady began to panic as her eyes narrowed.

"What do you think your doing you worthless piece of trash!" She yelled as she stood up, but Kagome just continued to clap, her paste quickening. But Sesshomaru just sat on his throne while observing her with his golden eyes.

The lights were disappearing, and soon, they were all surrounded in darkness. "Guards!" Yelled Kagura as demons began charging in. But with the flick of Kagome's wrist they all disappeared. And shock took over the only demons remaining, the lord and the lady.

"W-what are you!" Cried Kagura as she saw a blue glow surround Kagome.

"What am I?" Mocked the said girl as she grinned with sadistic pleasure. "Such a good question that only your beloved lord can answer."

Standing up, the lord stared into the blue-red eyes that faced him. Time passed, none of them made a move before a shriek was heard.

My first fandom was Sesshy&Kago, but now... meh, I don't really care. But I guess, I was bored and decided to write a fanfiction for them, even though I am busy with my other fanfictions for other stuff ^-^" I don't own anything and I don't really care about this idea to be honest, lolz.

Yeah, there will be death, yes there will be heartbreak, yeah there will be betreyal, yeah there will be insane personalitys, yeah there will be "tragic" stuff happening... Yeah, this will be a pretty twisted up fanfiction ._.

But anyway, disclaimer, I own nothing.... NOTHING! XD

.... except this cookie that I baked today ^-^ Chocolate chip.... hmmm..... nom.

Edit; alright, now it should have more then 1000 words ^-^" I guess I was kinda slacking off when I first wrote this, lolz xD And yes, the italics are memories, flash backs if you will ^-^

And also, sorry about any mistakes that you may see, just give me a message or leave it in a review and I'll correct them when I can xD
