Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or any of it's characters or descriptions. I do not own Entropy or it's characters or descriptions. Just really love them both. :) Entropy belongs to Rhubarb Zoo. It's beautiful. If you are interested, please watch it on YouTube. The song is absolutly lovely and the video is just astounding. Sad, but beautiful. And of course we all know who Inuyasha belongs to. Don't forget to leave me a review when you're done. Thanx! :)

Entropy

Kagome sat on the roof of her little shack fiddling with the dials of an old radio she'd found in one of the many piles of junk that now seemed to inhabit her planet. Her planet was a crumbling ghost of it's former self and the only sounds that could be heard in the night were the oil pumps squeaking noisily as they went up and down, up and down, up and down....

She'd desperatly wanted to hear music. Something to drown out the white noise that had filled her ears each night. But nothing but static came through... It needed an antenai she supposed. Perhaps she could fashion one out of an old coat hanger tomorrow. Deciding to give up for now, she turned off the tiny device with a sigh. The gentle spring breeze played at her hair, making her dark tresses dance a little. She was almost envious. At least her hair had something to dance to. She was about to jump down and retreat to bed when a tinkling sound caught her attention. Like bells. But where could it be... Her eyes shot up the the crescent moon in the sky. The moon? She jumped down off her little shack and ran to the cliff that was a few dozen yards away. Her weight on the cliff caused bits of it to crumble and fall away but she didn't notice. The moon... Was it calling her? As if by her will, the wind picked her up and flew her to the moon.

Once there she couldn't help but be astounded by what she saw. There were hills and trees. Ruins of buildings as if the moon had once been inhabited. Everything was a sandy yellow but it was just so beautiful. She felt her heart long to live here instead of the ruined world that was now Earth... Drinking in the sight, she heard the tinkling noise again. With a slight intake a breath, Kagome looked for it's source. To her suprise, there stood a man. His hair was silvery and long. She wanted to touch it to see if it was as soft as it looked. It glowed like star dust. He wore a tux and a top hat. Kagome suddenly felt a little self conscience of her old raggedy overall shorts and t shirt. Turning her attention to the man once more she noticed that there was a star in front of him. He waved his hands around and the star twinkled at his command. With a flick of his wrist, the star was engulfed in a bubble and went flying off into a distant gazebo. The man leisurly followed. Kagome, inthralled by the magic of it all followed him as well.

The gazebo was the only complete structure that she had seen. And the man the only other living person. She watched as he stood in front of a cluster of stars, that were all in their own little bubbles, and began conducting them. With each movement of his arms each little star made their respective tinkle and Kagome was so entranced by it that she hadn't realized she'd stepped out from the pillar she was hiding behind. When the stars had finished twinkling their little tune, she giggled and clapped. The man's head snapped to her. His golden eyes narrowed slightly.

Who was this woman to interrupt his beautiful music? Never the less, Sesshomaru would ignore her. He turned his nose up and once again conducted the stars to his desire. He moved his hands and the stars sang out his song. But it was incomplete. When he stopped, the girl next to him started conducting the stars. The tune she had them make was enchanting. It was what his song was lacking... With her half, the song was comlete. Whole and beautiful. Just as it should be. Perhaps... She was the light that was missing in his world. A small smile graced his perfect lips. He conducted his half and once again the girl finished his song. Their song.

The stars began to play on their own and Sesshomaru took the girl in his arms and began to dance with her. The twirled in circles and stared into each other's eyes, until Kagome thought it would last forever. But as they turned, Kagome noticed that a darkness was covering the moon. Gasping she watched her new magical world melt away before her eyes. Then, Sesshomaru smiled softly once again and began to float away. Kagome outstretched her hand trying to keep contact with him but he was soon lifted away, fading. Before Kagome could cry out for him, she was back, sitting on the roof of her little shack, watching the sunrise.

Was it a dream?

Was Sesshomaru real?

Before her mind answered her, a star in a bubble floated down in front of her and began twinkling their song. Kagome's heart was heavy. She knew she'd never see him again.

And so, she sang the song in her heart.

"Fading away

Into the light of day

Morning is cold

Lonley and grey

Never let go

Of this memory's glow

Happiness falls

Sends me deeper into sorrow"
