Customer traffic had dwindled.

Patiently he waited at his post. No one had entered the building for an hour and he still had another whole one to go.

Sesshomaru leaned in the plastic seat and flicked a paper ball towards the basket. It bounced off of the rim. He reached for a sheet and tried once more. I should be sitting at home eating dinner. The wad missed its target and rolled away.

A light giggle caught his attention.

Kagome waved from the entrance door. “We meet again!” she stumbled on crutches.

He fetched a wheelchair and sat her down.
