As she smiled at him her eyes were redirected to the snow outside, she could tell that it would be the perfect kind to build a snowman, it packed well, which was bad for her as well. It meant that it would be difficult to get out, she would be stuck here at least another night, she should get a hold of her mother. Just so she didn't worry, she pulled out her phone to send a text message.

Hey mom, I just want you to know I'm alright. I ended up getting snowed in, in the storm last night at a friend's.

It didn't take long to get a message back.

Thank god Kagome! We all have been so worried! Poor Bankotsu was here waiting for you all night.

He was? Kagome thought to herself, she never expected him to wait for her all night, she figured that he would disappear eventually.

I'm so sorry mom. I don't know when I'm going to be able to get home because we're snowed in and more snow is on the way.

Another beep moments later.

It's alright dear, just be safe and don't try and go out in the storm.

She looked at Sesshomaru, who had built a roaring fire and sat across from her in the chair with a mug of hot chocolate of his own.

“My mom knows I'm safe at least so she won't go crazy trying to track me down.” She said with a small chuckle.

“This is always a plus.” He said as he sipped his mug and looked at her over it.
