Your Eyes Are Like Starlight Now by *~*Missy*~*

The neighbors will talk...

When Kagome woke up she snuck out of the bed, where Sesshomaru was sleeping, and into the living room. As she looked outside she saw the snow covered evergreen and realized that it was the next morning, a slight panic came over her, she had never showed up. What was she going to do now? What possible explanation could she give Bankotsu and did she even want to give one. She knew she was selfish but this was the most at peace and in touch she had felt in a year, could she really give that up to go back to some type of boring, shell of a life? A familiar lyric popped into her head. I wake up feeling satisfied, but guilty as hell. It about summed up how she was feeling right now.

Kagome heard his steps behind her as he walked into the room. She was just wearing one of his large t-shirts and his arms came around her waist to hold her in his embrace from behind. He knew she was having guilty thoughts about what they had done, but Bankotsu didn't deserve her and he intended to show her that.

It's snowed a lot more.” She whispered as she leaned back into him.

Yes, we're snowed in the cabin. Wrap up in the blanket on the couch and I will build a fire.” Sesshomaru said as he ushered her over to the couch. She couldn't help but smile at how thoughtful he was. She was surprised when there was a steaming mug of hot chocolate being pressed into her hand as she looked up in surprise. “Hot chocolate goes great with contemplation.” He said with a little smile.
