Your Eyes Are Like Starlight Now by *~*Missy*~*

I ought to say no, no, no sir

Kagome played with the candy cane in her mouth as she walked to where she was meeting Sesshomaru. By all right she shouldn't even be going to meet him. She was being courted by Bankotsu, but he had asked her to meet him and she came immediately when called. She sighed to herself again and was thankful for the candy that was steadily calming her nerves.

What could it be that he wants me to come out here for? She wondered to herself as she found herself now in front of a cabin, the snow crushed underneath a heeled toe, she adjusted her cloak tighter to herself, the mink stole secured around her throat, preventing the chill in the air from penetrating. It was very cold and there were rumors of a storm that was going to develop over night. She did hope she didn't get caught in it, though the tenebrous look of the sky was not doing much to allay her concerns. Finally she brought her hand to the door to knock precisely four times and wait for an answer. Her breath came out as a mist of fog and a shiver passed through her body as she waited on him.

The door creaked open and she saw the soft candle light spill out, she looked up at him, well dressed in a black button down shirt and khaki slacks.

Come in Kagome, I've been waiting on you.” His silvery voice drew her in as she stepped inside. He took her coat when she slipped out of it and hung it by the door. She pulled off her mink hat and hung it on the hook as well.
