More Revenge Leads To Assassination Attempts

Prompt: Holly

Word Count: 358

"It was horrible Sango! He just lay there grinning like the cat that's eaten the canary! He practically purred when I shouted at him!"

Sango's eyebrows almost disappeared into her fringe as her peeved friend raved about her mate's evil antics.

"But you did hurt his hearing, Kagome... That would hurt his pride as well, considering its, well... y'know- him." The woman tried to reason with her friend but it was no use. The miko was too far gone in a murderous rage to care about what she had done to deserve this.

"He is going to pay for melting my Rudolph-the-Red-Nosed-Reindeer jumper... It was my favourite!" She half-wailed, half-screamed the last bit before thanking her worried friend for listening and hurring home.

Luckily for her, Sesshoumaru had decided to go into the office today leaving the house empty- perfect for plotting her revenge. Running to the local florists, she picked a particularly spiky, vibrant and festive plant that the owner (after shooting her an alarmed look) informed her was for those who are sometimes attacked by thoughts of revenge and suspicion, especially those who may suffer much and often when there is no real cause for their unhappiness. Kagome snorted as she left the sweet-smelling shop; sure, she was feeling vengeful, but if everything went according to plan, her wonderful demon half would be the one suffering.

Kagome knew that she was being mean and spiteful, but she couldn't just let him walk all over her! They had known each other since she was eight years old... He thought he could beat her, he thought that he knew how far she would go, but he was wrong. Plus, she had to get the inuyoukai to love Christmas!

With a devious smile, the young woman snuck into Sesshoumaru's study before placing a few holly sprigs under his desk. They were so very pointed, she almost removed them after thinking of his poor, unsuspecting feet coming into contact with those spikes... But thoughts of her ravaged jumpers determined her resolve. Plus, he was a demon, it wasn't like it would actually hurt.

'It'll just startle him, that's all.'
