Sesshoumaru smiled to himself as he climbed into his car, immensely satisfied with a good day's work. His company was thriving and he had managed to get his revenge on Kagome. The entire affair had been surprisingly enjoyable... Perhaps he would play another trick on her - with Shippo's suggestions of course. 

As he drove back to the apartment, the inuyoukai wondered what his mate was up to. She had remained home from work today, her tongue having swollen to enormous proportions that made it impossible to speak. He had felt quite guilty in the morning when she'd started to cry as she tried to eat her breakfast, but after contemplation, he had convinced himself that she had gotten what she deserved. After all, she brought that punishment down upon her own head. 

Parking his car, the silver-haired male rummaged in his pocket for his keys, setting his briefcase down and opening the front door. He had barely opened it a crack, before the earthy and invasive scent of animals rushed into his nostrils, causing his eyes to water and making him cough involuntarily. 

"Kagome?"

When silence met his call, he started to get worried. Why did their home smell like a herd of cattle had invaded it and why wasn't his love responding? Rushing into the hallway, the demon stopped short as he walked into a very warm and very solid object. Stepping back, Sesshoumaru felt his eyes widen as large as saucers as a reindeer turned its large head to stare at the person that had just run into its side.

Why in all that the Kami held dear, was there a reindeer in his house?!
