Angry Inuyoukai Leads To New Deals

Shippo shivered as he left his house, the feeling of being watched causing the hairs on the nape of his neck to tickle. Those short tufts never lied; someone was watching him. And if Sesshoumaru had woken up by now, it was probably one very pissed off demon lord. Dread weighed down his stomach as he strolled down the main road, smiling at the pedestrians he passed, some of whom smiled back.

He had to get somewhere secluded soon, otherwise quite a few members of the public would be witnessing a murder. And although the kitsune didn't want to die, he knew that Sesshoumaru would be even more enraged if he felt like he was avoiding him.

Turning down an alleyway that led to the park he and Kagome had wandered through the other day to think up an argument, Shippo didn't get a chance to prepare himself for his death because the inuyoukai was upon him before he could blink. Hard golden eyes glared at him mercilessly as a large, clawed hand closed around his throat.

Slapping his assailants' shoulder as hard as he could, the fox managed to choke out,

"If you kill me, Kagome will never let you in the house again!"

Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed even further, but he released Shippo who promptly gasped for breath, shooting the silver-haired demon a reproachful look.

"I should kill you right now, for all that you have put this Sesshoumaru through. I suggest you come up with considerable reperations for your actions lest you become a no-tailed kitsune."

Eyes widening at the completely genuine threat, the terrified male desperately tried to think of something that would save his life. Suddenly, a suggestion occurred to him and a devious smile stretched across his handsome face.

"What'll we need? Mistletoe, baking powder, cookie-cutters... maybe even some TNT..."

The inuyoukai pulled Shippo up by his collar and shook him vigorously, annoyed with his muttering. Kami, kitsune were so very troublesome!

"Give me a straight answer or die." His hand began to glow a bright green with poison and he raised his arm, ready to strike the boy, only to be stopped as Shippo's smile became impossibly wide and his eyes started to gleam.

"Sesshoumaru, I will help you get your revenge on Kagome. Will you make a contract with me?"

With barely a moment's hesitation, the demon agreed before leaving, satisfied that he would be avenged.

Shippo rubbed his neck tentatively, trying to calm the virulent bruises that were blossoming under his tanned skin. A chuckle bubbled in his chest, and he let it out, the sound multiplying into manic laughter that bounced off the alley walls so that it sounded like hundreds of foxes all laughing together.

This was perfect!

He may have made a contract with Sesshoumaru, but what the inu clearly hadn't realised was that this new agreement did not negate any previous ones; meaning that he would still work with Kagome to prank him.

Walking slowly back to the street, Shippo couldn't help the spring in his step and the twitch of his tails as he made his way to Kagome's apartment, foxfire dancing around his twiddling fingertips.

The three of them were going to have so much fun!
