As the days turned into weeks, and Kagome's naturally forgiving nature hadn't risen from its sudden slumber, the miko had begun to stop singing whenever she was aware of Sesshoumaru listening, often abruptly cutting herself off in the middle of a word, to quickly walk ahead of the demon, and engage another one of her companions in conversation.

He'd been understandably frustrated, hoping to progress over this obstacle only to have it morph into a tougher challenge. Meanwhile, Kagome had been becoming increasingly quieter as Sesshoumaru failed to meet her expectations.
