The Robber Bride by Rhonda

Dreams Do come True

Two sisters were enjoying the view from a little known trail that lead up the side of the moutain from a secluded valley where they have spent their entire lives.  Their father was the headman of their village. Other than losing thier mother seven years ago their life was untroubled with a doting father and the benefits of a prosperous village.  Life was indeed good.

Kikyo, the oldest was interested in one of the villages blacksmiths son. She had dreams of marriage and family.  Kagome was three years younger. She was of an independant nature. She had her head in the clouds about one day being able to journey outside the valley.  the differences in their personalities are like night and day. Where Kagome was of a very giving nature, Kikyo was more driven by what she could get out of a situation.

Enjoying the spectacular view both sisters didn't see the rider until he was just about on top of them.  The man reigned in his steed.  Giving a stunning smile he dismounted.  They noticed that the young man was of Highborn Youkia descent. He had two magenta slashes adorning his cheeks as well as a cresent moon on his forhead.  With long white hair, pale compexion and elven ears he was the most beautiful male either sisters had ever seen.
