During lunch it was decided with little to no input from Kagome herself, that all four girls would attend the party dressed as witches; or as Eri put it sexy witches.

This decision made despite all of her protests left the dark haired girl with the distinct impression that her friends were going to try to fix her up with someone.

She’d been afraid of this possibility when they had first told her about this party. While they had eventually given up on getting her and Hojo together, this change of heart had had little to do with her many assertions that she wasn’t romantically interested, and everything to do with Hojo attending a university in Hokkaido.

If somewhere inside Kagome was aware that she was focusing on such inconsequential things as a way to avoid the real issues weighing on her mind she wouldn’t acknowledge it. Worrying about the machinations of meddling friends was normal.

Negotiating the heavy foot traffic was a skill borne of familiarity and she did it thoughtlessly, keeping her mind on mundane things, not wanting to think about the fact that her feet were leading her to the museum.

After last night she feared her sanctuary was forever destroyed, tainted by her own sick delusions.

Standing outside the main doors of the Edo-Tokyo museum, Kagome takes a few deep breaths in order to steady her nerves.

However, when she turned intent on entering the once loved building, she once again caught a flash of red and silver out of the corner of her eye, just as she had the night before.

Trying to follow its path Kagome found herself crashing into something hard, unyielding, and….Warm?

A deep baritone voice cultured and smooth as honey rumbled up from the object she was currently pressed against.

“I see that you are as uncoordinated as always, miko.”
