The first sign

Kagome was in her own little world. Today Sesshoumaru was bringing Rin over to play with Shippo. She was beyond excited to see him again.

Her and Inuyasha had split apart nearly a year ago, and since then her and Sesshoumaru had become friends. SHe had quickly fallen for the princely demon, yet she was sure he had not noticed her feelings.

Sesshoumaru arrived in all his shining silver glory. How a man could look that good vastly exceeded her thinking capasity. Jaken and Rin followed behind him, Jaken hollering at Rin for something or another.

A sigh escaped Kagome as she walked forward. Giving a welcoming nodd to Sesshoumaru, she approached Jaken and Rin.

"Jaken? I'll take over hun, you take yourself a well deserved rest, kay?" She gave him a lop sided smile as she grabbed Rin's hand. She really couldn't help herself, the little imp was always getting knocked around or threatened, she couldn't stop herself from being nice to the poor unfortunate imp.

With Rin's hand in her own, she walked back towards the hut where Shippo was resting. 

Jaken stared at her back, a sort of wistful look on his face.

"I never knew the human woman liked me that much." He thought to himself.

The feeling of love over took Jaken's normally sour disposition.

"I didn't know she was in love with me..." Jaken's thoughts continued.
