A Brief Affair by KouseiJL

A smell too sweet

 Proverbial Challenge:

"Sweet is the apple while the keeper is away."

Word Count: 100

At the light touch of a large hand on her elbow, Kagome stiffened and the words froze in her throat.

“Sesshoumaru! Who is this lovely lady you have encountered?”

Kagome’s mind clicked and briefly was disappointed the rude, arrogant male before her was the son of the gentleman she admired from afar. A sweet smile crossed her lips as she intentionally turned her back on Sesshoumaru and bowed politely to the gentleman.

“Konbanwa. Hajimemashite Higurashi Kagome yoroshiku onegaishimasu.”

Norihiro smiled warmly at her greeting and tried to hide his mirth from her rather curt dismissal of his seething eldest behind her.
