Unsteady ground

Proverbial challenge:

      Kagome froze, that voice sounded very familiar… as if she had just heard it speaking a moment ago…

     Oh no…

     Slowly raising her head, she saw a younger image of the older gentleman she had been eyeing moments before. He bore the haughty demeanor of a man who was very accustomed to getting exactly what he wanted when he wanted it, and right now, he wanted her gone. His aura was attempting to suffocate her by his mere presence alone, and as her wits returned, she felt the earth move beneath her feet… tilting ever so slowly.

     The sensation was distracting, but enough to wake her senses into righteous indignation. His words and demeanor, his very aura served to stoke a fire in her blood and ignite her blood pressure. Her spine straightened, her eyes ignited, and she could feel the flames ready to burst forth. If looks could kill…
