Chapter 11: E.T

The table was quiet, with the exception of Kagura, who continued talking about herself, flaunting what she had. Rin didn’t know what to say, it was like listening to a completely different person. This person seemed too cocky.

Sesshomaru’s face made her wince, he basically looked miserable and pissed off, sitting much like an statue and silent. Now she felt guilty, she wanted him to have fun and be social. But this dinner date was making him more reclusive and the entire idea boring. It got boring after a while from hearing only one person talk, especially about themselves, making conversations impossible. Her own fiancé didn’t say anything, he kept looking around the décor of the establishment, admiring the details. She knew Sesshomaru wasn’t about to talk and the only one who actually knew Kagura was herself, but the awkwardness was making her hesitant to speak, only nodding every once in while and tentatively smiling.

This was a disaster, she should have seen this from the beginning. She wanted a nice date for Sesshomaru and him having a good time out getting to know that person. Her entire plan backfired and now everyone were either oblivious, annoyed, or reluctant. She guessed the only one having a blast was Kagura, if her happy smirk had anything to say about that. She knew after dinner, Sesshomaru would have some words to say to her. But it couldn’t really be her fault entirely.

She didn’t know Kagura was going to act like this.
