Slayer of Un-Demon Crack: Sango's Mercenary by *~*Missy*~*

The Vicissitudes of the Wilderness

We surely must have been born from the arms of darkness,

And as if suffering from unrequited love,

We wander towards the light,

While from this path that stretches on endlessly

There is no way to return

Sango sighed to herself as she walked away, she felt the familiar katana that lay on her back just in case of emergencies, she knew that there could be something that would happen to her here.  There were so many demons that were gathered that it wouldn’t be atypical for an assassin to show up here, it was the best opportunity.  Her path took her through the gardens and partially into the clearing of trees that was on the edge of it.  That’s when she saw it; a glint of silver just before it came hurdling towards her.  Thanks to her reflexes she was able to dodge out of the way and escape harm, she pulled the katana from her back and although she hated to do it she slit the kimono up the one legs to the thigh for more accessibility.

Whoever this demon was they were good, as they charged at Sango and she continued to battle them.  It was certainly taking her much longer than usual to defeat this assassin.  Whether that be because of skill on their part or her being distracted by her conflicting feelings she was unsure.   But then she thought of Miroku and how angry he had made her and it pissed her off to no end.  She began attacking the demon viciously, although it was attempting to get out of her way as much as possible, it seemed to be some kind of snake or lizard and was rather hard to hit.  But as soon as she caught it off guard she began to pummel it, going so far as to throw away her katana to the ground and begin to beat the assassin into the ground with her fists.  She did not hear it’s pleas with her to stop, that it would tell her everything and who had sent it.  That it would lead her back to his master.  She was blind with rage.  Suddenly a hand came down on her shoulder and she turned around to swing.  A rather large fist caught hers and merely put it down.

“Enough.”  It was Bankotsu’s eyes that broke through her blind rage as she stepped back and looked at the poor, barely alive, demon at her feet.  “That’s it, just calm down.”  His voice was so placating, there was no accusation there; he was just wanting her to step down.

“I almost killed it.”  She whispered.

“You didn’t though.  Good thing I got here in time.”  He said with typical Bankotsu bravado and laughter.

“What’s wrong with me?”  Sango shook her head and began to walk off.  It didn’t take him long to catch up to her though.

“You stopped an assassin that could have been here to kill your best friend and her mate, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Some best friend…”  Sango whispered under her breath, not quiet enough for him not to catch though.

“What happened between you two?”  His eyes were curious, he had never seen the demon slayer and the miko not on good terms, and they seemed quite close so this was quite curious.

“She’s trying to shove Miroku on me.  And chastising me as if I am a child and not a grown women.”

“That’s not right of her.  You are your own person.  However she is most likely only doing what she thinks is right.”  Bankotsu said as he looked at her, she was hot when she was angry.

“I don’t give a damn what she thinks is right, I’m a woman and I have needs just like everyone else, I’m not just a piece of garbage to be tossed about.”  Sango said, a bit of her previous rage bleeding back into her eyes.

“No you’re not.”  Bankotsu said as he angled his body between her and a tree, hand rest over the left side above her head.  “You deserve to be treated like a women and shown what it means to be one.”  His voice was low and seductive and his face quite close to hers.

“W-What do you mean?”  The stutter was back, Sango had to dart her tongue out to wet her lips because all the moisture seemed to leave them in that instant.  The way he was staring at her, it was hungry and wanton and made her want things she knew that she shouldn’t want.

“You can’t tell me you don’t feel the attraction between us.”  He whispered in her ear, dropping a few kisses on the shell and working his way to just behind her earlobe.

“I-I…”  She hesitate and took a deep breath, trying to gather her wits.  “…no I can’t.”  Bankotsu chuckled then and it sent chills down her spine and made her draw in a shaky breath.

“And I could show you what it means, not to mourn for unrequited love, but to be loved by a man who knows how to love a women properly.”  He whispered, now peppering hot open mouthed kisses on her neck, making Sango moan quietly and then bite her lip to suppress the sound.  “You do not have to be gentle with me, I’ll take your rage and your passion, all of it.”  He whispered seductively and when he came to face her he saw she was slightly panting, just the way he wanted her.  He claimed her lips then, in a deep passionate kiss as they wrapped in each other’s arms and he pushed her back against the tree.
