She smiled widely and stared at me, her eyes sparkling like two sapphires. I put my forehead to hers and closed my eyes, steadying my breathing.

“My father has requested me to invite you to have lunch tomorrow with us,” I stated slowly to convey the gravity at hand.

“Oh,” she gulped, “Like a family – uh, reunion?” she stuttered.

I opened my eyes and saw her looking at me in wonder. Considering I definitely wanted to keep her around for a long time, I needed to warn her about facing the Taisho family as my girlfriend. “No. Like an interview.”
