As I kept on playing, I heard Kagome’s steps as she came out of the kitchen. She plopped onto the couch right next to me.

“Can I play?!” she grinned, fearless. “I eat necromorphs for breakfast!”

I looked at her and felt my heart constrict in longing.

“Where’s Inuyasha?” Miroku asked while patting Sango’s shoulder in comfort. The poor girl seemed traumatized after she beheld the introduction of baby necromorphs.

“Oh,” Kagome turned to the monk, “we talked, he got a call, and he jumped out the window like a maniac. Now,” she turned to me, grinning wantonly, “pretty please?”
