A/N: I'm using the second definition of the word travesty here.

At The Movies

My suspicions were correct. The film was a travesty of the original.

“I cannot watch this. This is ridiculous.”

I tried to stand up but she reached for my arm and grabbed me.

“Please,” she whispered, her lips forming a beckoning pout. “I love romantic movies.”

Sighing briefly, I sat back down. “On one condition,” I said under my breath.

She looked expectantly at me.

“The ending of this date must be that of the former version of this movie.”

“A… kiss?” she said almost inaudibly, her eyes wide.

I smirked.

“But it’s only our second date!” she said, aghast.
