“It’ll be a lot fun,” Roctis reasoned. “Plus, you need to get out more.”

“I did go out,” she snapped, “and ended up seeing some dippy play.”

“That was a foolhardy mistake. Get over it. Tonight’s festival is for everyone to enjoy. Plus this year’s theme involves wearing masks. You love that type of stuff!”

She didn’t budge.

“Then you leave me no choice. You’re grounded…from your room!”

“You can’t ground me, I’m your mother!”

“Of course I can. This is a political affair and I outrank you.”
