Refusing to allow her back into her depressive state, he took a leap of faith sputtering the first thing that came to mind.

“I-I have a new girlfriend!”

Kagome blinked once, twice, then many more in rapid succession. Unable to stop herself, she burst into a fit of giggles. “I thought we all agreed that I’m the designated dreamer?”

“I’m serious,” Inuyasha growled.

She laughed even harder.
