Seiichi’s eyebrow arched. “The monk never mentioned you in his plan.”

“That’s because I have final say. You can’t get something for nothing. And you definitely can’t have her without my permission.”

An inaudible sigh escaped him as Seiichi mentally banged his head. Ridiculous. I thought the monk’s intentions were to help me, not send me through more hurdles.

“So?” Shippo urged.
