Chapter 9

PANIC

“SWEET BABY BUDDHA! TODAY’S MOTHER’S DAY?????” Kagome shrieked. 

Mother’s Day was the most important day of the year for Kagome; the one day she could show her mom how much she appreciated her, how much she loved her, cared for her, cherished her. Her mother was a pillar of strength in her life, someone who loved her unconditionally and helped her through every hardship she had ever known. How could she have forgotten!?

Breathless from panicking, Kagome grabbed her favorite hoodie and her wallet and sprinted for the shrine, completely forgetting the implications of the card she had just received.
