Reminiscence

'It's been a long time since I've had a dream about the Sengoku Jidai. It's been awhile since I've daydreamed like this too.' Kagome thought.

Her thoughts wandered to faces of those young and old; her friends, her family, her lost love. She remembered each of their faces as if she had left them yesterday. She saw once again the shattered, broken looks she left them with when she said her job was done, that she had to go home. She didn’t belong in their era. She was an intruder, an alien, unwanted.

And it was all InuYasha's fault.
