The Consequences

Chapter 180 - The Consequences

*Proud Queen of Dogs* (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge)

Kagome looked thoughtful as she tried to remember everything she knew about dog training, which was, in truth, very little. "I'm not really sure. Housetraining, teaching your puppy to only go outside, is done sometimes with crating, but we did that by keeping her in her room."

"Oh, I know!" Inuyasha chimed in, his voice so cheerful both the miko and the taiyoukai shot him a confused look. "I saw it on the TV once. You rub their nose in it! That'd knock some of that arrogant pride out of her!"

A smirk pulled at Sesshoumaru's lips while Kagome gasped. "We couldn't do that to her!"

"Indeed we could," the taiyoukai replied. "I believe such a punishment would definitely get through to her that her behavior is unacceptable."

"Oh, oh! I want to watch!" Inuyasha said eagerly.

"You would," Kagome said with a sigh. "I'm taking my fabric to Amime. You guys handle this however you want. She's your mother.” She didn't like the idea of rubbing Lucky's nose in her mess, but it was mostly because she kept seeing the demoness as she was, her slightly upturned nose being smushed into a pile of dog poop. It was an unpleasant image, but she did remember hearing from others that it was an effective punishment. Perhaps the humiliation of it, along with the difficulties of getting the smell out of her nose, would bring the bitch down a notch or two.

"What should I do, my Lord?" Junko asked politely.

"Escort your lady to the seamstress, and then have all the soiled rugs removed from the guest wing, along with any that have yet to be damaged. Lucky is to be left with stone floors only. Then at least any new mess will not cause additional damage. You, little brother, can come with me."

*Quick as Lightning* (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge)

Both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha's noses wrinkled at the stench when they entered the guest wing. The stains left behind by the maids' cleaning efforts were obvious, and Sesshoumaru mentally cursed his mother for ruining rugs that had been in their family for centuries. They were irreplaceable! What in the world had she been thinking? If she absolutely had to relieve herself, there were better places, which led him to believe that she chose the rugs on purpose to punish him. A smirk pulled at his lips. She had no idea what was coming.

"Lucky," Inuyasha called, sounding as condescending as he could muster. "Come here, girl."

The sound of claws clicking on stone gave her hiding place away as she paced behind a large couch. She knew her son was going to be angry with her, but she didn't really care. He deserved it for casting that god-forsaken spell on her in the first place followed by every insult she had to suffer since! She still didn't realize Sesshoumaru had suffered much worse when she cast the spell on him. He nearly died, from what the hanyou had said, but she didn't see that as her fault. Clearly Tsukiko was to blame for erecting the barrier without her knowledge or approval. The former Lady of the West still did not regret her actions against her only son.

She was startled by the quick appearance of both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, one on either side of the couch, blocking her in. She bared her teeth and snarled viciously, only to yelp when the taiyoukai caught her by the scruff of her neck and dragged her out from her hiding place.

"You were a very bad girl, Lucky," Sesshoumaru said before hauling her over to one of the fresher piles she had just recently left and showed it to her. "You've ruined priceless antiques, all for a little revenge. Well, you will be punished like the dog you are." He shoved her nose in her own shit and rubbed it around, ensuring that it made it up into her nostrils, before releasing her, watching as she sneezed repeatedly in an attempt to clear her nose. "You won't be doing that again, will you?"
