In which Kagome learns something new

Kagome looked at Naraku with fierce determination in her eyes, she would do this. She would succeed.  She had this extreme desire that kept spiking up, words coming in the back of her head.  You need to prove yourself.  It was the driving force behind her actions.

“Are you sure you are ready for this, it is no small task to aura fight with a miko and I am not certain that I will be able to control all of my powers yet.  I do not wish to get you hurt.”  Kagome said as she looked at him with concern in her eyes.

“Fear not Kagome, I am going to help if I can.  I am able to handle this Kagome and it is something that needs to be done.  Just do not wear yourself out too badly, you need to be conscious for later.”  He said with a lascivious wink.

“Ooh, you’re tough talk.”  Kagome said as she turned her back to him.  “But can you back it up?”  She whispered and threw him a little look over her shoulder.

You do not know what you provoke miko.  You shall have the night of your life.  Naraku thought to himself.

He felt her power building and he set his to the same level as her.  He could feel the cool burn of her powers.  It was like there was an icy wind blowing across his soul.  She smiled and upped her power some more, her eyes were closed by this point.  Naraku was able to follow her easily.  What she didn’t expect was the kick that sent her falling down. 

“What the hell Naraku!”

“You must be able to protect yourself when you are in this state.”  Naraku said.

“As you gather this power, focus on the word around you and how it feels.  You should be able to train yourself to counter my moves.  Concentrate.”  Naraku said as he allowed her to take a breath and center herself again.  Once she was in that zone he started to attack her again.  She dodged once but didn’t dodge the second kick. 

“Mmmf.”  She said as she sat on the ground pouting for a moment.

“Aww can’t you get it Kagome?”  Naraku said with a smirk as he extended a hand to help her up, he knew her anger would help her out.

“Shut up!”  Kagome said as she stood up angrily, she closed her eyes and she could hear it through the air and dodged the five kicks he sent at her and then retaliated with a super blast of energy at him, knocking him over. 

“Very good Kagome.”  Naraku said as he watched her pants, clearly a little exhausted.  “Go and relax for a while.”

“But I want to continue training!”  She whined. 

“You cannot do it all at once Kagome.  Relax, take time to yourself.  Read up on some spells if you feel like it.  I’ll come to retrieve you later on tonight.”

“What are we going to do?”

“Oh you’ll find out…”  Naraku chuckled.
