In which Kagome finds out some memories are best left to themselves

Just the way i was that day

Kagome had finally gotten Sesshoumaru to approach the camp and be in the same place as Naraku, not an easy task mind you.  But it was not long before the trio began their trek, they were on the way to find Inuyasha’s body.  No one spoke on this trip which was completely fine with her.  She was emerged in her memories as it was.

“Kagome, are you sure you want to go through with this?”  Sango asked her.

“Yes Sango I have to, if I am going to be by Inuyasha’s side and we are going to attempt to beat Naraku, I must improve myself.  Especially if he is ever going to see me for anything other than Kikyou’s reincarnation.”  Kagome said with a sad look on her face.

“Alright, the rest of us are behind you all of the way.”  Sango said as she smiled at her friend. 

“Thank you Sango.”  Kagome said as she went into the clearing there were shinidamachu all over, possibly fifty.  Kagome saw Kikyou in the clearing and nodded her head at her.

“You came.”

“I had to.”

“Let us begin.”  Kikyou closed her eyes.

Kagome sensed a demon to her left, while still walking she held her hand out and a burst of purification energy exploded from her hand, the demon was instantly purified and she continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Sesshoumaru and Naraku looked at each other and then to the priestess.

Her power is Awe inspiring.  Naraku thought. 

It seems she was able to sense the demon even in her state and direct her power at the opposing force.  Interesting.  Her power has increased to an extreme degree.  Her activation seems nearly effortless.  I need to test her power, to see how powerful she really is.

“Do you mind hurrying?  I am on a time table.”  Kagome said in a bored tone.
