Hideo watched his cousin with great amusement but he watched the miko with great fascination.

She was certainly…odd. One look at her and one would think that she was merely a weak and subservient human, but she had steel within her. A woman of contradiction. It was as if someone weaved so mnay different characters into one person.

An explosion of purification power shot out from her fragile body, its power made his skin tingle. Sesshomaru managed to draw his sword as a shield for them both. He didn't even see his cousin move to stand in front of him. After a while, the brightness faded and there was only an empty space in front of them.

"She's gone."
