"Please Sesshoumaru! I really don't want to do it again today."

"And what makes you think that this one desires to?"

Kagome sighed, once more wondering why she had even bothered trying to appeal to the inuyoukai's better nature. It didn't exist. Knowing that this line of argument wouldn't get her anywhere, the woman tried another tactic.

"Okay then, if you do this for me, I'll wear those wonderfully transparent shorts you love so much..." Kagome said teasingly. Strike a bargain with him, her brain suggested. 

Silence prevailed. Slowly, Sesshoumaru turned his head to face her, expression as unchanging as a rock as he delivered his final answer.

"No. Not for the transparent shorts and the wild hair. It is not happening."

With a groan of defeat, the miko rolled off the sofa and crept towards the loaded sink, cursing her partner. Looking at the mountainous pile of crockery currently residing in dirty water, Kagome swore that she was going to get up tomorrow and buy a dishwasher.
