Retaliation

A/N: This exact same situation happened between my brother and I many years ago except with a water jug. I was Sessh in the scenario -_-  Please review!

Prompt: Sauce

"Sesshoumaru, please could you pass the soy sauce." The young woman asked as she delved further into her crime novel, too engrossed in the mystery to reach across the table for said condiment.

When nothing happened, she looked up, to see her lover shooting her what could only be described as a filthy look.

"What?"

His nose wrinkled in distaste as he answered,

"This Sesshoumaru is not a lap dog. You can fetch the soy sauce yourself."

Annoyed, but too eager to return to the pages of her book to argue, Kagome stood and brought the soy sauce to her place, liberally dousing her meal in the salty flavouring before once more beginning to read. All was quiet for several minutes, until the inuyoukai decided that he had to say something.

"Kagome, the bottle." 

Said woman slowly raised her eyes from the book to stare blankly at the demon who was waiting expectantly for her to move. So he refused to pass her the sauce when she asked nicely, but expected her to stop what she was doing and heed his every beck and call even when he was being so rude? Irritation flaring the miko immediately decided that no, that was not the way it was going to go.  

Keeping her novel open with one hand, she flicked open the lid of the soy sauce and- whilst maintaining constant eye contact- poured all of its contents onto her own plate, before passing Sesshoumaru the now empty bottle. 

"You're welcome."

Relishing in the shock upon his face, Kagome returned to her book, extremely satisfied. Her meal may now be completely inedible, and she may have to go to the shop for another bottle of soy sauce, but that didn't matter. She had dealt with a jerk, and that made her far happier than any crime novel ever could.
