Prompt: Conquistador

The Killing Perfection” That is what they called him.

And how well he lived up to the calling. A true conqueror of old. But for this, with her, Sesshomaru's ability to dance with Death, indeed to personify it would avail him not. For she was pure and vibrant Life. How she remained so giving and warm he could not guess. Yet indeed she did. Kagome. His blessing, his curse, the one thing even he dared not touch. For fear the Darkness in him would extinguish her Light. And yet how he coveted her. Something his hanyou brother had that he, Sesshomaru wanted. Ripping his gaze from the lovely ningen onna in the pale lavender spring yukata the Daiyoukai shook his head.

His beast gave a growl, “Mine” it said.

And yes the Shikon Miko would be. But Sesshomaru knew he must conquer Kagome's heart first. Before she would let him even think of touching the beautiful body that lay hidden beneath her yukata. How did he know this, you may ask yourself? By happy accident after their packs had joined in the journey to vanquish Naraku, he had caught a glimpse of her as she stepped from within a nearby hot spring.

So yes, Sesshomaru knew what a treasure Kagome would be physically. Add in her undeniable power and her warm and giving nature and even the other Cardinal Lords would find no fault with his choice. In spite of Kagome's mortality. Though Sesshomaru could truly care not what those narrow-minded fools thought. Their opinion mattered little to one of the Daiyoukai's wealth and standing. The Council however was a different matter altogether. Though having a seat upon it himself would lean things in Sesshomaru's favor. But for now Sesshomaru would become a Conquistador for Kagome's fair heart.
