The sudden onslaught of these long suppressed emotions is overwhelming; miring my consciousness firmly in the past for a moment.

It is with a great deal of difficulty that I am finally able to return my thoughts to the present, and the distraught woman standing before me.

Strangely I do not recall being so thoroughly inundated with guilt before. Is it possible that all this time spent ignoring my past regrets has merely caused them to fester and spread like a neglected wound?

Or could the priestess somehow be responsible for my reemerging sense of shame? Perhaps, it is both.
